The man's father, Master Qi, alleged that everyone found out that the situation was wrong at that time, but the doctor on duty refused to make further diagnosis and treatment, and he was not my patient, and then learned that the attending physician had gone on vacation, and when his son couldn't stand the pain in his fingers on May 2, he opened the gauze and saw that his blackened fingers were covered with maggots, and the doctor on duty only carried out debridement after learning about it, and removed at least 80 live maggots.
What's even more outrageous is that the doctor on duty knew that his finger was black and the gauze had not been changed since the operation, but he never changed the gauze or even falsified the medical records.
Regarding the family's accusation that he continued to shirk responsibility and play Tai Chi after the operation, Section Chief Liu of Hangzhou Plastic Surgery Hospital argued that he had been actively responding, which may be caused by the patient's understanding of the cognitive gap, and pointed out that the doctor may not be experienced enough and did not deal with it well, saying that he would strengthen training in the future, but avoided talking about compensation and other more in-depth issues.
