Liuxia Village, located at the foot of Guantouling in Beihai, covers an area of about 200 acres, with 106 households and 468 people. Mountains, seas, ancient dwellings, Mazu culture and other cultural and natural resources have become "treasures" that support the development of Liuxia Village.
After the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the strategy of rural revitalization, Haicheng District of Beihai City combined the resource advantages of Liuxia Village to build a mountain and sea culture and art village as the positioning, and developed rural tourism according to local conditions.
Liuxia Village focuses on the four major tourism formats of characteristic theme homestays, art and cultural creativity, science and research, and automobile camps, and hires a professional planning and design team to rely on the courtyard-style houses of the aborigines to make artistic and creative use. The "Guanling Liuxia Village Tourism Development and Construction Plan" and "Liuxia Village Construction Plan" have been compiled and implemented, and they are implemented in strict accordance with the "Plan".

In accordance with the requirements of creating a livable environment in the village in three dimensions, Haicheng District has vigorously implemented the Liuxia Village Human Settlements Improvement Project, and has invested nearly 7 million yuan to carry out environmental remediation, sewage treatment, and "three clearances and three demolitions" actions, and build village squares, small parks, parking lots, greening and lighting, sewage and drainage, etc., and the villagers have built "micro gardens", "micro orchards" and "micro gardens" in front of and behind their houses, and the village greening rate has exceeded 80%.
The improvement of "appearance" has made Liuxia Village a well-known Internet celebrity village and "check-in place" in Beihai. Villagers have opened small shops in front of their homes, which has also attracted many investors to invest in building homestays here.
Haicheng District explores the new format of "B&B + Tourism", with the B&B industry as the support and tourism as the backing, to leverage the large investment of social capital. At present, there are 23 projects in Liuxia Village that have introduced social capital investment, with a capital investment of 56 million yuan, including 5 boutique homestay projects such as Neighborhood Designer Hotel, Banshan and Half Sea, Huatian Jiudi, Xiaoyao and Ruihaixuan, and special catering projects such as Huahu Small Noodles, Twilight Years and Youjian Courtyard have also been put into operation.

Today, 80% of the houses in Liuxia Village have been leased by foreign investors for homestay industry and related facilities, and flower art studios, literary and artistic shops, coffee pubs, village bars, and themed restaurants have blossomed everywhere. In 2023, the annual per capita income of villagers will be 29,000 yuan, and the annual income of the community collective will reach 400,000 yuan.
