Regarding the cancellation of the dinner, the statement was that the team wanted to go all out for the FA Cup final and they did not want any disruption ahead of the game against Manchester City.

The club said Manchester United's dinner this year was originally scheduled for 20 May, a week before the final against Manchester City on 25 May, but after consulting with Ten Hag and the football leadership team, it was decided that the players would not have any distractions during the week of the game. While the players will still receive awards voted for by colleagues, coaches and fans, there will be no more awards dinners.
