On the eve of International Museum Day on May 18, the Guiyang Cultural Relics Protection Center launched a series of feature films - "The Curator Says", which leads the audience into the five state-owned and non-state-owned museums in Guiyang from the perspective of the directors of various museums in Guiyang. In the footage, the treasures of Guizhou's intangible cultural heritage collected by each museum are recorded, allowing the audience to feel the profound heritage and infinite charm of Guizhou culture.
The theme for International Museum Day 2024 is "Museums Committed to Education and Research". In the feature film, the curators will also use their rich professional knowledge and vivid explanations to lead the audience into these treasure boxes, feel those historical moments, and experience the charm of those cultures. There are five episodes of feature films, namely the Hand Memory Museum, Guiyang Kejia Museum, Guiyang Miaojiang Story National Costume Museum, Guiyang Red Cross Ambulance Corps Guiyang Tuyunguan Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall, and Xifeng Concentration Camp Revolutionary History Memorial Hall. From now on, one episode will be released every day.

Hand Memory Museum is located in Wenggong Village, Guanshanhu District, Guiyang City, more than ten kilometers away from Guanshanhu District. Here, the national handicraft retains the precious symbols of ancient civilization, which is the most valuable wealth left to the world by this land, and occupies a considerable weight in the history of human arts and crafts civilization.
The blue flower narrative, originated from a book published by curator Wang Xiaomei in 2009, continues her long-standing dream of "blue flower", in which "blue flower" is her beloved batik old craft, her and her walking partner, and they are also the people who protect the ancient dyeing art in the mountains of Guizhou.
In addition to more than 6,100 pieces of multi-ethnic intangible cultural heritage collections, the walls are also full of photos, recording Director Wang Xiaomei's multi-ethnic cultural and spiritual life in Guizhou, and also placing the story of the Blue Flower Narrative Rural Museum.
The batik patterns of the memory museum on the hands continue a vast world of meaning. In the view of Director Wang Xiaomei, the exquisite costumes, the simple and age-sensitive utensils, carry the continuation of the thousand-year-old cultural tradition, it connects individuals and ethnic groups, villages and society, is the perfect presentation of the Miao people's exquisite handicrafts and spiritual world, conveys the ancient philosophy of life in the universe, and is the Taoist law that flows from ancient times to today.
When the museum's batik collection speaks with the local people and people, the memories of objects and people are awakened, allowing objects to return to their living worlds, tracing ancient myths, rituals and festivals in their oral way, and working together to create a quiet and joyful living world.
