Cambanor Wetland Park
Kangbanoer National Wetland Park is located in the south of Kangbao County, 1.3 kilometers away from the center of the county, is a natural lake wetland with the closest and well-preserved ecosystem outside the county, with a total planned development area of 12,490.5 acres, a wetland protection area of 5,521.5 acres, and a water area of 2,500 acres. At present, 146 species of birds have been found in the wetland park, including 4 species of national first-class protected birds, including relict gulls, golden eagles, black storks and great bustards, and 29 species of second-class protected birds such as whooper swans, yellow-billed egrets and grassland eagles, which are important places for bird migration. In particular, there are only about 12,000 relict gulls left in the world, and there are about 8,000 in the Kangbanuoer National Wetland Park, which has become the main habitat and breeding place of the world's relict gulls.
On June 2, 2017, Kangbao County was awarded the honorary title of "Hometown of Chinese Relict Gulls" by the China Wildlife Conservation Association. In recent years, the "China Relict Gull Photography Week" has been held consecutively, receiving more than 1,000 ecological photographers from all over the country. It receives more than 80,000 tourists every year. Now it has built the "Relict Gull" mission and education center, the gate of the scenic spot, the parking lot, the bird watching pavilion, the wooden plank road and the Nanhai Ecological Park area, the Nanhai Ecological Park area and the wetland park are far away, and it is a humanistic and natural integration park that focuses on the construction of ecological forests and integrates leisure, entertainment and fitness places. Kangbao County will implement step-by-step protection and development of the wetland park, renovate and upgrade the shantytowns on the north shore of the lake, green roads, and infrastructure construction projects, and build Kangbao into a Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regional brand tourist destination with the wetland reserve as the core, wetland leisure and vacation as the feature, and bird watching, ecological tourism, cultural experience, health care for the elderly, ice and snow sports and other functions.
