For example, compared with the previous X100, the most obvious change in the appearance of X100s this time is that it has abandoned the curved screen element and replaced it with a straight screen that is more in line with the preferences of young players.
And from the point of view of parameters, this "ultra-clear primary color eye protection screen" not only has a resolution of 2800*1260, an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz, but also a high-frequency dimming of 2160Hz, and has passed the SGS eye protection certification.
At the same time, its 3000nit peak brightness, P3 wide color gamut, and built-in vivo's self-developed "dual engines" are also specially designed to present HDR photos and video content more accurately.
In addition to the curved screen on the front of the fuselage becoming straight, the changes in the vivo X100s on the back of the fuselage are not so drastic. However, if you have a close encounter with the previous model, you may notice the difference at a glance.
Yes, the X100s ditched the previous asymmetrical "moon ring" bezel and replaced it with a symmetrical "day ring" design.
Interestingly, in the previous generation model, the "day ring" was an exclusive element of the higher-end model (X100 Pro), but in the X100s generation, it has become standard for the whole series. It seems that this is another change in line with the aesthetic voice of consumers.

According to public information, the Dimensity 9300+ uses TSMC's 4nm process, its CPU frequency is up to 3.4GHz, and it has a combination of 4*Cortex-X4+4*Cortex-A720. It has an L3 cache of up to 8MB and an SLC system cache of 10MB. Coupled with 9600MBps of LPDDR5T memory, the specifications of the entire CPU and memory subsystem can be said to be completely "full" under the current technical conditions.
Moreover, compared with the Dimensity 9300, the AI performance of the Dimensity 9300+ has also been significantly enhanced, and the efficiency has even doubled in some scenarios. In addition, the 12-core ARM Immortails-G720 GPU with hardware ray tracing has been adapted to more and more games, which virtually makes the models equipped with Dimensity flagship SoCs a further competitive among the gamer base.
In addition, according to our actual measurements, the flash memory performance of the X100s is definitely high enough, whether it is continuous read and write, or random read and write speed, it can be called the top level in the current UFS4.0 solution. Obviously, in order to establish its "product image", vivo is indeed very willing to pay for it.
Thanks to the ultra-high frequency setting of the new flagship main controller, as well as the in-depth cooperation between vivo and MediaTek, the X100s has set a new record in almost all individual tests. In particular, the multi-core GeekBench score of more than 7800 points has indeed made people see the power of the Dimensity 9300+ "high frequency + all large cores".
In the end, the 16GB+1TB vivo X100s we have at hand ran a comprehensive score of more than 2.27 million points in the Antutu evaluation V10. This is significantly higher than the previous score of the Dimensity 9300 model, and certainly reaches the current top high segment.

Judging from the measured results, if it is a game with a low load, in fact, X100s does not make much difference between opening and interpolating frames. Because at this time, the game can run at full frame rate, and the power consumption is not high.

In other non-interpolated high-quality games, the X100s generally exhibits the characteristics of "both high frame rate and low power consumption". Obviously, the deeply optimized "energy efficiency selection" and "unfair scheduling" technologies have played a significant role in these games.

As we all know, in recent years, the flagship models of major brands have generally changed the research and development direction of batteries from simple "fast charging" to "high energy density" as the main axis, "both large capacity" and "light and thin body" as the main appeal.
In this context, top-of-the-line imaging flagships often no longer have a fast charging design of more than 100 watts. However, the exception is the "standard model" like the vivo X100s, which tend to be a little more aggressive in terms of fast charging because they have to take into account the preferences of gamers.
Judging from the measured results, the 100W wired fast charging equipped with vivo X100s can charge the 5100mAh battery to about 25% in the first 5 minutes of charging.
After that, the charging speed does not slow down significantly, and the charge has already increased from 1% to 69% after 16 minutes of starting charging.
In the end, the X100s we had on hand completed the charging process of 1% to 100% in 31 minutes at room temperature. For a model with 100W peak power and a 5100mAh battery, this performance is obviously not slow.
And as we've shown throughout the process, the charging logic of the X100s isn't really "gaming". In other words, it is basically a relatively uniform performance, considering its positioning, this seems to be a design that takes into account speed and battery life, and to a certain extent, it also shows that the vivo X100s is still more "precious" than those simple "high-performance models".

From the perspective of the basic zoom experience, the periscope telephoto with a large outsole, high pixels, and a large aperture does give the X100s an outstanding "telephoto" quality in the same class. The only slot may be the fact that the default quick zoom magnification of the camera app jumps directly from 3x to 10x, which is sometimes a bit inconvenient.

As for the harshest extremely low-light scenes, the X100s is not at all worthwhile. All three cameras have excellent resolution and brightness, with no visible noise or halos, even in the most difficult light conditions.
