This heritage park, which covers an area of more than 120 acres, is full of dreams under the lighting at night, and has recently become popular on short video social platforms, not only becoming a gathering place for local trendy youth, parent-child families, but also attracting music fans and tourists from many places across the country to check in.
The reporter visited and learned that Shijiazhuang Shigang Industrial Heritage Park was transformed from the old factory of Shijiazhuang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, retaining some of the company's production workshops, equipment and other industrial characteristic elements, and also built an immersive experience hall, a trail around the park, an underground parking lot and other spaces.

Behind the transformation of the old industrial plant into a new landmark of the city, after Hebei Province issued the "Urban Physical Examination Evaluation Standards" in 2023, Shijiazhuang City has vigorously carried out urban renewal actions by exploring the working mechanism of "urban physical examination, urban renewal and urban design", and Shijiazhuang Shigang Industrial Heritage Park has become one of the landmark projects. Shijiazhuang has now become a megacity with a population of more than 10 million. In the process of rapid urban development, the "sequelae" caused by insufficient planning and construction in the past have gradually emerged: the road network system is not perfect, and the congestion during the peak commuting period is serious; Public service facilities are concentrated, and public facilities in some areas are seriously insufficient; Historical sites and industrial relics have fallen into disrepair, and the city's memory needs to be preserved and passed on. In the past, many expressways passed through the urban area of Shijiazhuang, which seriously cut off the urban space and restricted the development of the city. The local Fuxing Street was originally the urban section of the Xinyuan Expressway, connecting two toll stations, with a total length of more than 30 kilometers. The reporter learned that after the transformation, Fuxing Street has changed from 4 lanes in both directions to 12 lanes in both directions, and has simultaneously improved supporting facilities such as greening, lighting, and pipelines, connecting 40 existing and planned east-west roads.

"Through the municipal transformation of the urban section of the expressway, while opening the urban framework, the 'stuck points' have been eliminated, the 'blocking points' have been dredged, and a new skeleton road network has been formed." The Taiping River area, which gathers a large number of low-end industries and stone processing industries, is located at the confluence of the Hutuo River and the Taiping River, with outstanding geographical advantages, but its development is relatively lagging behind. Today, the construction of public service projects such as the Shijiazhuang Art Museum has been launched here. Planning designer Bao Long said: "The venue adheres to the design concept of integrating the city, scenery and pavilion, with a view of the ancient city of Zhengding to the north, a green axis of the city to the south, and a 'cultural triangle' with other surrounding venues." Heping East Road Area is an old industrial area located in Chang'an District, Shijiazhuang, covering an area of 3,600 acres, including North China Pharmaceutical, which is known as the "eldest son of the Republic of Medicine", and a number of large cotton mills and coking factories, which have left a brilliant mark in the history of urban development.
