Hexi District has issued a total of 3,399,200 yuan of home care service subsidies for eligible disabled people in the district in the fourth quarter of 2023 and January 2024. Guided all streets to complete the system entry of 1,610 medical assistance for people with difficulties and severe disabilities, 110 adaptive hearing aids and 1 prosthetic maintenance personnel, with a rehabilitation service rate of 49.39% and an assistive device adaptation rate of 14.42%. Promote employment and provide opportunities. Hexi District actively carried out a series of activities for the Employment Assistance Month, visiting 192 families of registered unemployed persons and 158 enterprises. Carry out special job fair activities, assist in holding special job fairs for the disabled in colleges and universities, carry out online special job fairs for the disabled with the District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, providing more than 120 jobs, and hold the 2024 "Employment Assistance, Concentric Dreams" special job fair for the disabled, providing more than 120 jobs. Handled insurance subsidies for 46 individual industrial and commercial households, with a total subsidy amount of 489,600 yuan. A start-up subsidy of 20,000 yuan will be issued to one disabled person who starts his own business.
In the next step, Hexi District will focus on rehabilitation services, social security, cultural and sports life for the disabled, solidly promote the distribution of various subsidies such as home care subsidies, "three subsidies" for the disabled, and education and disability grants for the disabled, continue to implement various tasks such as rehabilitation and assistance for disabled children, barrier-free transformation of families and communities, and actively organize and carry out activities such as policy publicity, legal consultation, and rehabilitation consultation, so as to create a strong atmosphere of understanding, respect, care, and help for the disabled in the whole society.
