On May 12, the "Heat Pump Helps Develop New Quality Productivity" Technology Forum and the "2023 China Heat Pump Industry Development Yearbook" (hereinafter referred to as the "Yearbook") press conference were held at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Pavilion). The release of the Yearbook will not only help promote the innovation and application of heat pump technology, but also help accelerate the process of comprehensive electrification, which is of great significance for China to achieve the "dual carbon" goal.
The Yearbook was first launched in May 2020 by the Heat Pump Professional Committee of the China Energy Conservation Association and Industry Online on the basis of years of analysis by both parties, and has been published for four consecutive years. The yearbook reviews and sorts out the heat pump industry policies, current standards, innovative technologies and market data, and provides useful references for industry colleagues while promoting industry information exchange, which has been widely recognized and praised by the industry.
The conference was presided over by Xu Haisheng, Deputy Secretary-General of the Heat Pump Professional Committee of the China Energy Conservation Association, and Zhao Hengyi, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the China Energy Conservation Association and Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Heat Pump Special Committee, delivered a speech at the conference.

Zhao Hengyi, deputy chairman of the board of supervisors of China Energy Conservation Association and executive deputy secretary general of the heat pump special committee, first extended a warm welcome to the leaders and guests who came to the event on behalf of the organizers, and pointed out that heat pumps can improve energy efficiency, and electrification transformation is dependent on heat pumps. At the press conference, the relevant leaders of the New Energy Department of the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission delivered a keynote speech, and publicized and interpreted the policy of Beijing's "Implementation Opinions on Comprehensively Promoting the High-quality Development of New Energy Heating". He also said that the city's new energy technology is in the rising stage of rapid iteration and rapid development of technology, and hopes that all colleagues will work together to improve heat pump technology, expand the scale of heat pumps, enrich heat pump application scenarios, develop and expand the heat pump industry, and accelerate the formation of green productivity.
Ni Long, a tenured professor at Harbin Institute of Technology, also delivered a keynote speech on "Technology Development and Application of New Quality Productivity for Heat Pump Heating". In his speech, he pointed out that heat pump heating is currently in a period of rapid development, and China has achieved a leading position in the research of heat pump technology. Significant progress has been made in air-source heat pump heating in terms of low temperature adaptability, frost removal and frost suppression, and heating system adjustment. In terms of water source heat pump heating, the ground source heat pump system of medium and deep underground pipes has become its new growth point.

Sun Jian, director and associate professor of the Teaching and Research Department of Building Environment and Energy Application Engineering of North China Electric Power University, shared the research results of super heat pump technology and the comprehensive energy intelligence platform. He said that under the background of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, the distributed energy system has ushered in new development opportunities, and the research on multi-dimensional related technologies such as renewable energy consumption, flexible and efficient electricity-heat-cold conversion, and intelligent dispatching in the civil and industrial fields is an important direction to achieve a clean, flexible, efficient and safe integrated energy system, and a key technology to achieve carbon neutrality.

In his speech, he shared the compilation of the national standard "CO₂ air source heat pump unit", the current status of CO₂ air source heat pump project, and the flow field and noise treatment methods of outdoor units, and analyzed and prospected the CO₂ air source heat pump.

In 2024, the air source heat pump market will continue to show steady growth, the domestic heating market is more worth looking forward to, the global heat pump market will fluctuate in the short term, and the long-term potential will be slowly released.
