This weekend, after consulting with the experts of the research association to collect information, I planned to follow the old Hanghui Highway built on the Hanghui Ancient Official Road to find dongtianfudi after Song Gaozong's retirement, Dongxiao Palace.

From pine yard in the east to Xixi Road in the east of Hangda Road, it is a one-way traffic from west to east. I could only skip this section and go west along Tianmushan Road until I turned into the internal road of the Huanglong Sports Center and took a small half-circle before entering the western section of Xixi Road.
Those who often walk the Lingxi Tunnel and the Purple Tunnel will be very familiar with this section of Xixi Road. The road is not wide, undulating according to the mountain-shaped terrain, and from the navigation point of view, the road is not too straight. The scenery outside the car is the French plane trees on both sides of the road, tall and large. When looking for information, I once found that in the 1930s, when the old Hangzhou Hui Highway was built, it took into account "green environmental protection" and followed the design of "planting French plane trees on both sides of the highway".

Along the 02 provincial road for about a mile or more, I turned left on Liansheng Road, drove to the end, turned right to Jingshan Bay Road - Xixi Road, and came back, the plane trees on the side of the road are even taller than those on Nanshan Road, mixed with maple poplars in the middle, and the big canopy can almost cover the opposite side of the road.

From Jingshan Bay Road - Xianlin East Road - Xianlin Middle Road - Xianlin West Road, along the route of several kilometers of street trees, almost all are very old French plane trees and maple poplars, sometimes on both sides of the road will emerge new communities, that section of the road trees will be replaced by delicate and ingenious other tree species, after that section, the familiar French plane trees, maple poplars and batons, all the way along.
After passing through the Xiao cabbage cultural garden, Xianlin West Road passes under the Hangrui Expressway and goes to Old Yuhang. I turned on National Highway 329 and continued westbound. This section, according to the experts of the Research Association, was also built on the old road of the old Hanghui Highway. More than 10 kilometers of road, the national highway is in the middle, the left is the Hangrui Expressway, and the right is the high-rise Hangzhou-Huangzhou high-speed railway.

On the last page of a small series of Lin'an literature and history books, "Dongxiao Palace Hook Sinking", on the hand-drawn map, Wang Jiabu is next to the Hangyu Highway, which is a section of the old Hanghui Highway. From Wangjiabu to the south, there is a road through the nine peaks such as Tianguan and Zangyun, and it is connected to The Palace Village.
An hour after departure, I arrived at Wangjiabu, just along National Highway 329 (the navigation shows Heting Street). Re-locate the village of Gongli, and the route given by the navigation is the Wanggong Line. After turning south from National Highway 329, all the way to the south, first passing under the Hangrui Expressway, then crossing the western double line around the city, and finally driving into a cement road village road. At this time, you can see a large stone on the side of the road, and the "Palace Village" has arrived.

In the historical records, there was a palace built here, and the Emperor Zhao Shuo of Taishang was sent; the famous minister Li Gang and the famous general Zhang Jun were appointed as ancestral officials; in the relevant historical materials, Li Bai, Meng Haoran, Lu You, Su Dongpo, Fan Chengda, Zhao Mengfu, Mi Fu, Zhu Xi and other glorious names can be seen everywhere.
The village entrance in front of me was so cold and remote that I wondered if I had gone wrong. After asking an uncle on the side of the road to confirm that it was the former site of Dongxiao Palace, he had the courage to drive into the narrow village road.

When there were village houses on both sides of the road, driving past groups of uncles and aunts who were nagging, I rolled up the window to ask for directions, and asked an enthusiastic guide, Aunt Jin.
Aunt Kim got into my car neatly. After a few tens of meters forward, we turned left onto a mountain path. In her series of "slow down, slow down" sounds, the trail became narrower, wilder, and bumpier. Driving to a flat field, my aunt asked me to stop the car, "The road ahead is still safer to go up." ”
The mountain road to Dongxiao Palace
The mountain road is lined with dense forest and grass, and only the sound of springs and streams can be heard. Big aunt said that there are many springs in this area, and there is a spring that is very strange, and it will release water intermittently, tick after a while, and then rush for a while.
The eldest aunt is Called Jin Fudi, 78 years old this year, and speaks Hangzhou dialect. She is a native of Hangzhou, because her deceased wife is a villager in the palace and has a house in the village, so she comes to live for a few days from time to time.
Although she was not a local, she spoke like she had eaten several books in her stomach. After I came back, I checked one by one, and it was not bad with Shi Zai.
Chen Yaozuo
"There are flower heads in the Western Han Dynasty here." The temple built in the Tang Dynasty was not called Dongxiao Palace before, but the Tianzhu Temple. "It is indeed recorded in the history books that Dongxiao Palace originated in the third year of the Yuan Feng of Emperor Wu of Han (108 BC), and Emperor Liu Che of The Han Dynasty built a palace altar at the mouth of the Dadi Cave of Dadi Mountain to worship the gods, making it the ancestral court of Taoism. In the first year of Tang Hongdao (683), the Tianzhu Temple was built. During the Wu Yue Kingdom, Qian Miao moved to build the New Tianzhu Palace, which was even larger. In the Northern Song Dynasty (1012), The Caochen Chen Yaozuo played the "Three Differences" in this place of Qingyong Spring, Xiangguang Present, and Dead Wood Rong, and Song Zhenzong gave him the title "Dongxiao Palace", which is the origin of the name of Dongxiao Palace.

"This area used to be called the Upper Hall, then the Middle Hall, and the Lower Hall at the bottom. All of them were Taoist temples and halls of all sizes, and later they were burned down. "I also found that since the Southern Song Dynasty, because of Zhao Zhao's reverence for the Dao, the Dongxiao Palace had thousands of halls and more than 3,000 Daoists at its peak. There is also a Nanling Taoist Temple in Dongxiao Palace, including the ancestral hall of The Founding Ancestor Zhu Master Lu Qiu, the Guo Wenju Ancestral Hall, the Qian Wei Ancestral Hall, the Su Shi Ancestral Hall and so on.

Aunt Jin led me all the way up the mountain, and in addition to a few small plots of land on the mountain, there were also some seasonal vegetables, all of which were flooded with grass, and the ears that had not been seen in the city for many years grew to be more than half a person tall.
Some of the buildings passed by on the road, according to her words, were invested by a certain boss in the past few years, intending to develop some things for tourism, and then gave up.
For example, a cement archway on a mountain road, a triangular pavilion in the open space, in which stands the monument of "Tianzhu Spring", and a wooden pillar, standing in a large piece of tall grass. Aunt Jin said that there was a high platform on the pillar, which was also repaired a few years ago, saying that it was an altar used by the emperor.
Yuan tong bridge
There are not many real relics left. The roadside specially set up a roadblock micro-arch stone bridge, the side of the stone stele inscribed "Yuan Tong Bridge", was built in the second year of Tang Qianning (895), and later rebuilt three times by the Southern Song Dynasty Chunxi Jiachen year (1184), Yuan Tozheng three years (1343), Qing Jiaqing seventeen years (1812).
The bridge was overgrown with weeds, and the gray moss was everywhere, and the handwriting on the original bridge railing had long been blurred. We pulled a few blades of grass and rubbed them into a ball before we could discern the words "ChunXi Jiachen..." The long stone road extending from the bridge deck is only a short section, less than three meters.

There is also an ancient bridge in the village, just on the side of the road where I met Aunt Jin, called "Huixian Bridge". This small bridge can be crossed in three steps, like a tile, covered on the creek canal on the side of the village road, but it is not small, because Ge Hong and Guo Wenju talked to each other in the Jin Dynasty.

Because she married early and was interested, Aunt Jin knew more about Dongxiao Palace's past than many elderly people in the village. Which mountain has a hole in the past, which place has a spring, which emperor once inscribed something, which celebrity was buried here... As we spoke, we walked to the front of the Dongxiao Palace.
The aluminum alloy gate was guarded, and after a dog barking inside, after a few reprimands, the female road chief opened the door. This is a five-bay Taoist temple, and the open space in front of the temple is full of life and flowers.
The historical Dongxiao Palace was destroyed several times by fire, and the few major buildings left in liberation were completely destroyed in the 1960s and 1970s.
This Taoist temple was newly built 20 years ago, and Zhu Daochang took care of the yellow essence dug up on the mountain in the corner of the hall.
I saw a pot of orchid growing beautifully, and just as I got up, the tip of my nose was facing a small honeycomb between the grass. Zhu Daochang reminded, "There are honeycombs everywhere here, and you can see the window ledges." Sure enough, under the word "Fu", two symmetrical corners, with a honeycomb embedded in one side.

Coming out of the Dongxiao Palace, more than ten meters ahead, is the mouth of the Great Di Cave. There are stone steps down the cave entrance, covered with thick moss, and you have to walk very carefully.
The mouth of the Dadi Cave is facing east, and the cave door is narrow and wide, more than 10 meters high. The top of the cave is inscribed with "Great Di Cave", and there is an ancient stele embedded on the side of the cave, and the handwriting is blurred. Aunt Jin told me not to go in again, saying that there were twists and turns inside, and there was cement sand.
A few steps to the south of the cave entrance, there is also a grassy opening, "from the big di cave, you can climb out of here," Aunt Jin said.
However, compared with the caves in the Mountains of West Lake, this cave is really not interesting to visit. Why did Emperor Gaozong of Song love this place alone, pay for it himself, do not use the state treasury, and fund the reconstruction of dongxiao Palace. Lu You, in the "Monument to the Reconstruction of Dongxiao Palace", particularly emphasized that "the Cining Palace was built at expense", which was donated by Empress Wei, the biological mother of Emperor Gaozong.

During the reign of Emperor Gaozong and the early years of Shaoxing, the Southern Song Dynasty repeatedly discussed the issue of the temporary capital (xingzai), and finally in the eighth year of Shaoxing (1138), Hangzhou was officially used as the "xingzai". In the eleventh year of Shaoxing (1141), after relieving the three major generals Han Shizhong, Zhang Jun, and Yue Fei of their military powers, and even creating Yue Fei's unjust imprisonment, removing the last obstacles, the two countries finally signed a peace agreement. The "Shaoxing Peace Conference" gave the war-torn Southern Song Dynasty a chance to breathe.
In March of the second year of the Southern Song Dynasty (1166), Zhao Shuo, who had already abdicated, and Empress Taishang set out from deoksho Palace at Wangxian Bridge, passing through Qin Pavilion, and visiting the Xiao Palace of Xingdong for the first time. Since then, Zhao Zhuo has also made several special trips. In order to facilitate travel, he sent people to build a bluestone slab road that was five horses wide and about 20 kilometers long, reaching dongxiao Palace. This bluestone slab road lies under the old Hanghui Highway where we came all the way.
There seems to be some delicate and intimate relationship between Dongxiao Palace and Emperor Gaozong. And the Dongxiao Palace also reached its peak of prosperity due to the favor of Emperor Gaozong of Song. Lu You once said: "To my Song, I and Song Shan Chongfu, alone as the head of the world's palace view." ”
Professor Wu Zhen of the College of Literature of Chinese Min University believes that Dongxiao Cave, which now looks ordinary, was a cave out of the circle thousands of years ago, and must be bound and win-win by many factors: feng shui shape victory (nine locks and five caves), aesthetic taste of the times (The Song Dynasty literati's Forest Spring Retreat), geographical convenience (two-day trip to Dongtian from Lin'an), national policy (Song Gaozong's personal presence and the ancestral official system of "lifting Dongxiao Palace"), And Taoist promotion (landscape construction of the Deep Mountain Chess Club). The Taoist resort of Dongxiao Palace is located in a limestone area, and there are many natural caves scattered around the palace site. In the event of a flash flood, there is no water on the ground; in the event of a strange drought, the underground springs are continuous, forming the typical cave characteristics of "five caves intersecting, nine peaks returning, thousands of rocks and valleys, and showing them".
