In Game 3 of the NBA Eastern Conference semifinals, the Celtics take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on the road. The two sides had previously drawn 1-1 on aggregate. Heading into the third quarter, the Cavaliers trailed by 15 points. However, at the beginning of the fourth quarter, although Mitchell did not play, Garland and Mobley combined to play a 6-0 scoring surge to quickly close the gap to within 10 points.
