The police investigated the scene and found that the theft ex-convicts Li and Yang were suspected of committing major crimes, and through "one standard and three realities", they inquired about the temporary residence address of the suspect Li in Longgang Street, Dazu District, and then the police squatted at the place, and arrested Li and Yang on January 23, and seized some of the stolen goods.
After arriving at the case, the two truthfully confessed the facts of the crime of theft in the sales department of Shuanglu Garden. According to the confession, in 2023, the two were sentenced by the Dazu District People's Court on suspicion of theft, and during their sentences in the Dazu District Detention Center, the two met because they were fellow villagers, and they were released at the end of 2023. Since both of them have no financial resources, they discussed "returning to their old business", the two hit it off, put on a black cap and mask, and after some disguise, they rode a tricycle around to find the target of the crime, and successively carried out 3 thefts on the construction site in Dazu Wangu, Shuangqiao and other places, stealing nearly 100 kilograms of wires and copper wires, and then sold them at the waste recycling stall for a profit of 5,500 yuan.
The two soon squandered the stolen money, and then together in the Shuanglu Street looking for the target of the crime, that night when passing by the sales department of Shuanglu Garden, found that the sales department did not turn on the lights, the two judged that there was no one on duty here, so they got off the car and went, and found that the sales department was not only unattended, but also two rooms did not close the windows, the two immediately climbed through the window, and stole the watch, gold necklace, cigarettes, liquor, lanterns, microphones and some cash in the room. After identification, the value of the stolen property was more than 100,000 yuan.
At present, Li and Yang have been criminally detained by the public security organs in accordance with the law on suspicion of theft, and the case is being further handled.
