On the occasion of the 16th National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day, in order to popularize disaster prevention and mitigation knowledge and disaster avoidance and self-rescue skills, on May 11, Sanmin Community, Qiandong Street, Yunyan District, Guiyang City, together with the Guizhou Provincial Earthquake Bureau, jointly carried out the "5.12 National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day" publicity activities, and distributed "earthquake knowledge" publicity materials to residents and passers-by in the jurisdiction through "stalls", and strived to create a national atmosphere of disaster prevention and reduction.
At the event site, volunteers publicized disaster prevention and mitigation knowledge to residents and passers-by by hanging banners, posters, and distributing publicity materials, and informed residents and pedestrians not to panic in the event of an earthquake, to stay calm, quickly judge their position and vibration situation, and make corresponding evacuation actions.
This publicity has enabled the residents to have a more comprehensive understanding of disaster prevention and mitigation knowledge, improved residents' awareness of disaster prevention and their ability to respond to emergencies, and effectively promoted the development of community disaster prevention and mitigation work.
