When night falls, Hong Kong looks particularly charming at night. On the evening of May 11, a wonderful drone show was being held against the backdrop of the night sky of Victoria Harbour. Thousands of drones took off from the waterfront in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, accompanied by flowing patterns and changing shapes, dotted the banks of the Hong Kong River, attracting a large number of citizens and tourists to watch the "check-in".

This is the first regular drone show organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), aiming to enhance the unique charm of Victoria Harbour and attract visitors and residents to stay in Hong Kong. As the Buddha's Birthday and Jiao Festival are approaching, the performance is themed to promote traditional features, add festive atmosphere to the whole city, and send blessings to the public and visitors.

At about 18 o'clock that day, the Wan Chai waterfront was crowded. In the crowd, there were photography "enthusiasts" who came to the "hegemony" in advance, erected a tripod, and waited for the performance to begin; There are also tourists who come from Chinese mainland with their families, and some fathers let their children ride on their necks to better see the performance. At the entrance of the venue, three traditional Hong Kong ice-cream trucks are parked to distribute free ice-cream to the audience.

In order to find a good shooting position, Hong Kong photographer Mr. Qin came to Haibin Park in Wan Chai to explore the way and shoot a test flight clip during the drone rehearsal the night before. "Today's official performance, I went out at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, because I came early, chose a high position, and took pictures of the drone show and the lively audience, and I am still very satisfied with tonight's work." Ms. Ho, who came to Hong Kong by train from Zhanjiang, said that this was the first time she had watched a drone show in Hong Kong, so she also invited a friend from Jiangmen to go with her, "I learned in the news that Hong Kong will hold fireworks shows and drone shows on a regular basis, which is very good and attracts many mainland tourists." ”

The Chairman of the HKTB, Mr Pang Yiu-kai, said, "We will work with the industry to explore and promote Hong Kong's diverse and in-depth experiences, as well as various mega events, to attract more visitors to experience and explore Hong Kong. ”
