During the visit, the volunteers learned that Uncle Li, a lonely elderly man living in Lingkou New Village, had been suffering from cancer for many years, and his body was weak and inconvenient to walk, so he needed to lie down and rest irregularly. During the service, I learned that Uncle Li had a slight wish, and wanted to put a recliner at home so that he could lie down and rest often. In order to help Uncle Li realize this micro-wish, the area applied to Qiliang Volunteer Club in time to purchase a recliner for the elderly, and Uncle Li's micro-wish was realized.
Aunt Wang from Lingkou Town lives with her wife after losing her only son, and usually does some manual work to supplement the family. The old man's home conditions are poor, the old couple usually save money, a dilapidated rice cooker has been used for many years, every time they eat raw rice, they have always wanted to buy a rice cooker. After learning about the needs of the elderly, the volunteers bought a new rice cooker for the elderly in time and patiently informed them how to use it. "Thank you so much, my wish has come true!" The old man said movingly.
These small wishes seem insignificant to ordinary people, but they are the heavy expectations in the hearts of the lonely old people. Since the beginning of the care and assistance for the elderly who have lost their independence, Qiliang volunteers have been close to the elderly, listened to their voices, and delivered heart-warming services to the hearts of the elderly.
