More than 1,300 teachers and students participated in the earthquake avoidance and emergency evacuation drills, and about 400 students were organized to visit large fire trucks and disaster prevention and mitigation publicity boards to improve the awareness of teachers and students in disaster prevention and mitigation.

At 9:50 a.m., as the earthquake signal was issued, the students, under the guidance of their teachers, quickly adopted a shock-absorbing posture of "lying on the ground and taking cover", and used books and other items to protect their heads. They were evacuated from the four safety exits and assembled at the playground in shifts. At the same time, the school also arranged personnel to guide at key intersections to ensure the smooth evacuation route, and the entire evacuation process took 2 minutes and 52 seconds.
After the drill, the school organized all teachers and students to summarize and comment. "Everyone talks about safety, and everyone will be able to respond to emergencies. Through this exercise, we once again learned about the knowledge of emergency avoidance in the event of an earthquake, and mastered the protective measures and methods to be taken in the event of an earthquake, which will further improve the awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation among teachers and students. In addition, the event also set up a calligraphy competition for disaster prevention and mitigation and a pottery competition.
