Recently, with the last pair of 500-meter-long steel rails smoothly laid on the ballastless track bed, the track laying of the new Jingmen-Jingzhou high-speed railway was successfully completed, laying a solid foundation for the opening and operation within the year.
The Jingjing high-speed railway starts from Zhanghe New Area, Jingmen, Hubei Province in the north, and connects to Jingzhou Station of Hanyi Railway in Jingzhou, Hubei, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour and a total length of 77.6 kilometers, and officially started construction in September 2020, with 3 stations in Jingmen West, Shayangxi and Jingzhou.
In order to complete the track-laying task with high quality and efficiency, the construction unit stored the long rails in the track-laying base located on the north side of Jingzhou Station in advance, and used the TC-500 rail-laying machine to lay the long rails from Jingzhou Station all the way to the north; Through the intelligent driving dispatching and command system, the operation status and operation position of the track-laying machine, long-track transport vehicle, rail welding car and other equipment are monitored and unified dispatched and commanded around the clock, so as to ensure the safety and orderliness of cross-construction, improve the track-laying speed, and one-way track-laying can reach 6 kilometers per day.
After the Jingjing high-speed railway is completed and opened to traffic, the time and space distance between Jingmen and Jingzhou can be shortened, and the fastest train running time between the two places is only 20 minutes, and Jingmen has officially entered the era of high-speed rail. After the Wuyi section of the high-speed railway along the Yangtze River and the Xiangjing high-speed railway are completed and opened to traffic, they will "join hands" with the Jingjing high-speed railway at Jingmen West Station, which will greatly facilitate the travel of the people and help accelerate the construction of a green comprehensive transportation system along the Yangtze River, which is of great significance to serve and support the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and promote the economic and social development of Hubei Province.
