How to calculate overtime pay?

May 1 (Labor Day) is a statutory holiday, and if an employer arranges an employee to work overtime, it shall pay a wage remuneration of not less than 300% of his or her daily wage, and shall not substitute it with compensatory leave.

May 2, May 3, May 4 and May 5 are rest days, and if the employer arranges the employee to work but cannot arrange a compensatory break, it shall pay the employee a wage remuneration of not less than 200% of the employee's daily wage.

Calculation of overtime pay:

Triple daily wage = monthly salary income ÷ monthly salary days× 300%

Double daily wage = monthly salary income ÷ number of monthly salary days x 200%

Monthly payroll days = (365 days - 104 days) ÷ 12 months = 21.75 days
