The car pulled us to the school, and when we entered the school gate, we didn't see it, but when we turned the building, it was the tree-lined path, which was pleasing to the eye, and I thought that I would live in such an environment in the future, and I was very happy. The car was parked at the registration office, the registration work was very simple, and after handing in the admission notice, the dormitory was arranged - 207 on the second floor of the south, and 205 was assigned to the east.

I took the empty box to the dormitory, there seemed to be five or six people in the dormitory, four people got out of bed, and there was no one on the right by the window, so I put the empty box on the bed, there was no bedding yet, my luggage was carried to Lanzhou, where to find it?

Behind the dormitory building is a wall, and on the opposite side of the wall is the Provincial Party School, as if there is an acquaintance there to the east, so I climbed over the wall. I called my sister-in-law to ask about the situation, but the phone always couldn't get through. Coming out of the party school, walking on the road dizzy, at a loss, extremely depressed, thinking about how many people are going to go to college, what is so good about going to college!

I can only inquire about the place where I put my luggage - No. XX Cypress Lane, Xiaoxihu, and someone told me to take the No. 3 bus, and Xiaoxihu can be found when I get off the bus, so I went to look for it. It was quite smooth, I found the person's house, put the bundled luggage by the door, and after thanking me, I carried the luggage to the other side of the road to take the bus, and after only a few steps, I felt that the luggage was very heavy, and I struggled to move forward. It turned out that the luggage contained not only futon, but also a page of felt, more than 20 catties of fried noodles, two pairs of cloth shoes from my mother, and a change of clothes and other daily necessities.

Finally carried to the school dormitory, the bedding was spread to the bed, the box had nowhere to put it, the two beds between the doors and windows were behind the door, so the distance between them was tens of centimeters, and there was just a rope to bundle luggage, so I made a rope net between the two beds, put the box on the rope net, facing my bedside, it was very convenient to take and place things on the bed. Everything was arranged, there was a place to stay at night, and the mood suddenly improved.

The meal ticket was issued at that time, 35 catties of meal ticket, 20 yuan of food ticket, a month's life has been settled, and there is not only a sense of steadfastness in my heart, but also a sense of superiority of the public family.

The school area is very large, like a small county town, the school has a canteen, a shop, a hospital, a fleet, there are many, many buildings, teaching buildings, laboratory buildings, dormitory buildings, faculty family buildings, single dormitory buildings, auditoriums, libraries, liberal arts libraries, many of which are Soviet-style, and are said to have been built by the Soviets.

This school was relocated to Xi'an during the Anti-Japanese War, part of the Beijing Normal University, and later moved to Lanzhou in 1958, when we went to school, there were many well-known professors teaching, such as the national first-class professor of plant fractions, Peng Duo, linguist, scholar, professor, ancient poet Kuang Fu, scholar, professor Guo Jinxi, famous scholar, outstanding expert in Gansu literature and history, professor Mr. Li Dingwen, famous expert in modern Chinese literature research, Professor Sun Keheng, Professor Dang Hongshu, Tian Ming (who was a lecturer at the time, and now I can't find his information) and so on.

Mr. Peng Duo gave us a lecture on "Shuo Wen Jie Zi", Mr. Kuang Fu was my graduation thesis supervisor, and he supervised four people at that time, and mine was excellent; Mr. Guo Jinxi's lecture notes on classical literature were printed and distributed to us; and the most impressive was Mr. Li Dingwen, who gave us a lecture on "Pre-Qin Literature" as soon as the school started, and his big head and thin neck formed a sharp contrast, making people feel that he had been malnourished for many years. He said that a few years ago (when we were in school), he used a cart to pull his family's collection of books to donate to the provincial library, but when he needed to consult materials, he couldn't go there at any time. According to the data, from 1956 to 2003, 19,783 books and 186 cultural relics in the family collection were donated to the Gansu Provincial Library, Gansu Provincial Museum, Hexi University, Wuwei County People's Hospital and other units. There are many rare books of the Ming and Qing dynasties in the books.

Professor Sun Keheng and Professor Dang Hongshu are two professors of "modern and contemporary literature", Professor Sun is full of passion, and when he talks about deep affection, he clenches his fists and stares at the front and upward, while Dang Hongshu is a feast of language when he talks about gorgeous rhetoric and literary thoughts. Neither of them had any textbooks in their classes, and we were busy taking class notes in every class, and it was difficult to appreciate their passion for teaching.

Mr. Tian Ming taught us "Modern Chinese", and his worn-out bicycle not only carried him in class, but also the homework books of more than 70 of us, and his hair was parted to the left, and every time he was excited to give a lecture, there would always be a lock hanging down from the left side, blocking his right eye, and at this time, he would use his little thumb stained with chalk ash to brush it up, but soon it slipped down again. It is said that he was unmarried all his life, and the family hired a nanny to take care of his life. Once, Mr. Tian was late, it turned out that his bicycle had been stolen, and he was holding a handout in one hand and our homework in a net pocket in the other.

When I think of our mentors now, I feel both cordial and sad, most of whom have passed away. The past is like smoke, everyone is annihilated in the long river of history, there is no looking back, no reunion, disappearing without a trace!
