Torino Sport reports that Arsenal have reignited interest in Juventus striker Vlahovic.
The Gunners were very interested in signing the Serbian international in January 2022, but Vlahovic ended up moving to the Bianconeri for a whopping €83 million. This forced Arsenal to look elsewhere, eventually bringing in Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus that summer.
Despite difficulties at Torino, Vlahovic has impressed for Juventus this season, scoring 17 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions. Dusan has two years left on his contract with the club and Juve are keen to extend his contract for another year to spread his amortisation costs and a whopping €12 million salary.
According to the 13th edition of Torino Sport, Arsenal are once again targeting Vlahovic as the summer transfer window approaches, with them looking for a reliable goalscorer to keep up with Premier League giants Manchester City.
Gabriel Jesus has scored just eight goals in 33 games this season and Mikel Arteta's side need to find a consistent scorer, and Vlahovic's contract status at Juventus could help them broker the deal.
In the early hours of this morning, Beijing time, Juventus visited the Olympic Stadium and finally scored with a header from Brazilian defender Bremer to draw 1-1 with Roma.
Since scoring his first goal in Serie A (2019/20), Bremer has been the last defender to score with a header in Europe's top five leagues, with 13 goals (including seven in a recent row), at least two more than any other defender in that period, according to Opta statistics.
After the game, Bremer revealed that coach Allegri was angry with the Juventus players because they had "taken risks" in the final minutes and urged his team-mates to "get the job done" and qualify for the Champions League as soon as possible.
BREMMER TOLD DAZN: "WE WANTED TO WIN, BUT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN AND WE HAVE TO WORK HARDER. There was space today, but we failed to take advantage of it. We have to keep trying, and I hope to continue to do so. ”
Szczesny blocked Tammy Abraham's shot in the final moments and Bremmer explained after the final whistle: "I think he was angry because we were at risk in the last few minutes, but we realised we had to get the job done as soon as possible and keep going down this path. ”
The Brazil national team coach and his coaching staff watched from the stands, and they watched Bremer's goal: "Danilo said they were here and I'm happy we played a good game. We have to go on and try to secure Champions League qualification. ”
Juventus currently sit third in the Serie A table, nine points ahead of sixth-placed Atalanta, but the true blue and black have played two games less. This season, Bremer has made 34 Serie A appearances, scoring three goals.
With Udinese and Sassuolo mired in relegation, Juventus have set their sights on midfielders Samarzic and Lauriente from both clubs, according to Sport.
If Udinese and Sassuolo are relegated to Serie B, their players may look for new owners, then the transfer fee will be a little more affordable than normal.
According to Sport, Samardzic could be the ideal replacement for McKennie, with the American midfielder likely to leave at the end of the season.
Samardzic came very close to joining Inter Milan last summer, but the deal ran aground at the last minute. In January, representatives of the Serbian midfielder also approached Napoli, but negotiations also ended up deadlocked.
It is reported that Juventus director Giuntoli intervened at the time to negotiate with the head of Udinese's transfer to discuss the possibility of a future deal, which allowed Samardzic to stay at Udinese in the end. The Black Chicken are valued at €22 million to €25 million, but a downgrade could change that price significantly.
Likewise, with the threat of relegation, Lauriente's future in Sassuolo is uncertain. Considering his familiarity with Italian football and his readiness to move to a big club, Juve believe the French midfielder is a promising player. Like Samardzic, his transfer fee could become more reasonable once he is relegated.
Juventus have an eye on sustainable and prudent investments, aiming to capitalise on potential opportunities in the transfer market. And due to the club's demanding demands for victory and the need to adapt quickly, Giuntoli will prioritise players with experience in Serie A. Both Samardzic and Lauriente's clubs are on the brink of relegation, which offers attractive conditions for Juventus to poach.
