Pulpitis:
When rotten teeth are left untreated for a long time, bacteria can infect the pulp tissue and cause inflammatory lesions, while pulpitis can cause apical periodontitis if left untreated for a long time. At this time, there will be obvious symptoms such as tooth pain, night pain, and temperature irritation.
Apical periodontitis:
When rotten teeth develop apical periodontitis, symptoms such as painful bite and swollen gums are likely to occur. In severe cases, it may even lead to periodontal abscess and tooth loss.
In addition, long-term tooth decay may also affect the health of other teeth, because bacteria in the mouth can enter other teeth through the damaged tooth, causing other teeth to decay as well.
