In the past few days, despite the bad weather and occasional thunderstorms, the enthusiasm of residents in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for cross-border travel has not been stopped, and a large number of mainland residents have gone abroad to Hong Kong for leisure or to Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and other popular overseas destinations, especially individual tours, family tours and group tours, while Hong Kong and Macao residents are enthusiastic to visit Shenzhen for consumption and entertainment or family visits in the Pearl River Delta region, and businessmen from all over the world have come to Guangzhou to participate in the third phase of the 135th Canton Fair." According to statistics, from 1 to 4 May, the police on duty at the station inspected a total of 807,000 people entering and leaving the country through Huanggang, Futian Port, and the No. 1 channel of the Futian Free Trade Zone, of which 633,000 were passengers entering and leaving Futian Port, an increase of 51 percent over last year, and 37,000 vehicles of various types of entry and exit transportation were inspected.

May 5 coincided with a Sunday, and there were only a few batches of inbound passengers in the morning hours of Huanggang and Futian ports, mainly Hong Kong and Macao residents, and there was no peak of return passenger flow. The passenger flow in the outbound direction of the two ports has also dropped significantly compared with the previous few days. It is estimated that the peak inbound passenger flow at Huanggang Port will be from 10 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. the next day, the peak of outbound passenger flow will be from 8 p.m. to 2 p.m. the next day, and the peak inbound and outbound passenger flow at Futian Port will be from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. As of 15 o'clock in the afternoon of the same day, the police on duty inspected a total of 97,000 people entering and exiting through Huanggang and Futian ports, of which more than 67,000 passengers entered and exited Futian Port.
