The names of Chinese villages and towns are mostly from the Tang Dynasty. In the long river of history, for various reasons, it is very rare to remain unchanged for more than a thousand years, and it can be called rare. Yexu, pronounced yě xū in Mandarin, has a cultural connotation, and has become famous before the Tang Dynasty and has a long history.

Yexu used to belong to Meng County, located on the north bank of the Yellow River, a stone's throw away from the Geely Township Government, the first administrative village in the original Geely District, and the indigenous people called Yeshui Street, full of pride. The name is also very easy to be misunderstood, and newcomers need to chew the words and be extra serious.

In the early 80s, Geely was already an organized area in Luoyang, and the first time I heard "yě shuǐ" from his mouth, I didn't know which two words were. If you talk about local colloquial habits, the phonetic difference is really a bit far.

Metallurgy, the ancient same as "wild", the basic meaning is to smelt metal, the extended meaning is to decorate and dress up, and it is often an adjective that expresses flamboyance, and many people recognize it; the original meaning is a broad-edged weapon like an axe, and it is widely used to refer to the 11th place of the earth branch, and it has nothing to do with the pronunciation of water. As the name suggests, smelting means forging weapons, and the meaning of armament is strong.

According to historical records, Yexu was the seat of the Han and Jin Heyang counties, and it was prosperous and glorious for a while. During Pan An's tenure as the county commander, Heyang was known as Hua County. Pan Anzhi is a cypress in Nanying Flower Village in Yexu Village, known as Zhuanzhi cypress, and it is also one of the eight views of Guheyang.

Because 戌 is similar to the shape of 戊 and 戍, there are many people who read wù and shù. E is the fifth special word of Tiangan, the original meaning is not touched; 戍, there is the meaning of garrison guarding the border, guarding the border, and 戌, are related to military affairs, it is a bit intriguing.

I don't know when, the mixed use of smelting and smelting suddenly appeared on the Internet, and they all specifically referred to this village, which made people stupidly unable to distinguish and suspicious their eyes. The name of Yeshu is also the proposition strongly promoted by the "Mengxian Chronicles".

"Mengxian Chronicles" said that in September of the 10th year of Emperor Taishi of the Jin Dynasty, Du pre-built a river bridge here, and the ferry port was called Yeshui Ferry; because the ferry was guarded by heavy troops, it was also called the wild army. Later, because of the casting of weapons and smelting of steel here, it was changed to smelting in the field, which was called the town of smelting.

"Mengxian Chronicles" also said that in the eighteenth year of Emperor Taihe of Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty, three cities were built in Heyang, and pontoon bridges and boat ferries were placed on the river for commuting.

The southern city of the "Three Cities of Heyang" of the Northern Wei Dynasty is on the south bank of the Yellow River, referring to the old city of Mengjin today; Zhongtan City is on the sandbar in the middle of the river, and there is Heyang Pass in another place; and the North Middle City is now "Yexu". The city defense also needs to be defended by soldiers, so it is not wrong to call it "smelting" and "smelting and fighting". But the result of choosing one of the two should be "Yexu", when everyone gets acquainted with auspiciousness, the cognition is like this.

Du Pre is the ancestor of Du Fu, known as "Du Wuku", on the Yellow River, "build a boat as a beam", build a pontoon bridge, connect the north and south, and the matter is recorded in the annals of history. It's just that this pontoon bridge has long disappeared, and there are N kinds of statements behind the location, which is a confused account. In history, there are only a few well-known ferries on both sides of the Yellow River, there are Baipo Ferry in the west of Yexu, and the opposite bank is Tiexie Ferry, which itself may be a wild ferry, so it is called Wild Water.

In addition, the five elements of the 戌 belong to the soil, which is compatible with water, on the one hand, the water can moisten the soil, and on the other hand, the soil can cover the water. If there is a place, you are not afraid of the flooding of wild water, which may be the broad and comprehensive artistic conception of Yexu, and finally win, the reason for the name.
