On 2 May, the Taiwan Mainland Affairs Council amended the annex to the announcement prohibiting Taiwan people from holding posts in relevant units on the mainland, adding the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait (ARATS), Confucius Institutes, All-China Youth Federation, and other political organs (organizations) and organizations.
For this reason, the Taiwan Mainland Affairs Council also issued a press release falsely claiming that the mainland has undergone many major organizational adjustments in recent years, and that the prohibition announcement has not been amended for 20 years since it was issued, and it is difficult to accurately correspond to the relevant status quo of the mainland. The law originated from Article 33, Paragraph 2 of the Cross-Strait Regulations, and violators will be punished in accordance with Article 90.
It seems that the mainland has recently adopted a two-handed strategy of softer and harder against the Taiwan side, and the DPP has become so frightened that it has begun to sit still. In particular, the impact of Ma Ying-jeou's visit to the mainland and the visit of 16 members of the Blue Committee led by Fu Laiqing to the mainland on the island has made the DPP authorities even more frightened. As a result, the DPP authorities began a new wave of strict defense, not only collecting channels for cross-strait exchanges, but also threatening and intimidating the KMT's top echelons to prevent the KMT and the People's Party from amending the "anti-infiltration law."
At present, the only person who is likely and capable of promoting this matter is Fu Laiqing, the chief of the Kuomintang "Legislative Yuan" caucus. After returning from her visit to the mainland, Fu Laiqing withstood the pressure of the DPP authorities and continued to harden the DPP authorities. First, after returning to Taiwan, Fu Laiqing angrily scolded the people in the green camp for not being able to eat grapes, saying that grapes are sour, and called on Lai Qingde to respond to the mainland's goodwill and ease cross-strait relations.
Second, on 1 May, Fu Lai-hing's legislature set things right in Taiwan's legislature and openly demanded that the terms "mainland" and "China" in the DPP "legislator's" proposal be changed to "Taiwan" and "mainland" respectively, and that the "Green Committee" had no choice but to accept it with the relevant regulations of the Taiwan government. In this regard, Wu Zhaoxie, a "Taiwan independence" diehard and puppet "foreign minister" who is about to take up the post of secretary general of the "National Security Council," was directly angry.
Third, on 2 May, Han Kuo-yu, the "president of the Legislative Yuan," was scheduled to convene a consultation between the government and the opposition, but Ke Jianming, the chief convener of the DPP caucus, deliberately decided not to participate in the consultation on the grounds that there was insufficient time for the consultation. In this regard, Fu Laiqing publicly criticized Ke Jianming and Wu Siyao, secretary general of the Democratic Progressive Party Caucus, for wasting taxpayers' money by coming to the "Legislative Yuan" every day, and even more satirizing Ke Jianming for treating the Taiwan "Legislative Yuan" as a home for the elderly. Regarding Wu Siyao's personal attack on him, Fu Laiqing directly stubbornly rebuked, "The adults are talking, and the little minions of the DPP should not attack again."
We must praise Fu Laiqing, this kind of chaos is very necessary and meaningful anyway, no wonder Wu Zhaoxie and others are jumping to their feet. In the eight years since Tsai Ing-wen came to power, she has refused to recognize the "92 Consensus", pursued a "de-Sinicization" policy on the island, engaged in "gradual Taiwan independence", and operated to "resist China and protect Taiwan" to lean towards the United States and seek independence by relying on the United States, so that the Taiwan Strait has become "the most dangerous place in the world" in the eyes of foreign media.
There are even quite a few diehard "Taiwan independence" forces on the island, such as Cao Xingcheng, who is known as a "chameleon," who openly advocates the shameless viewpoint that "young people should sacrifice for Taiwan when they should sacrifice themselves." He also threatened to spend money to set up a "black bear academy" to train Taiwanese people to actively prepare for war and fight with the mainland to the last man.
Cao Xingcheng
In response to this, Zhang Yanting, deputy commander of the former Air Force and retired lieutenant general, on 1 May made a rare and bitter accusation that "Taiwan independence" element Cao Xingcheng was "selling his reputation and reputation." These people who advocate preparing for war are just talking about it, and as soon as the guns go off, these people will run first! Xie Hanbing, a veteran media personality in Taiwan, also angrily criticized Cao Xingcheng for pushing the Taiwan people to go to the battlefield as "wolf-hearted and dog-lung," that is, standing and talking without backache. Cao Xingcheng is a rich man, there are many refuge channels, he and his family have American passports, and as soon as the guns go off, they run away first!
I have to say that whether it is Zhang Yanting or Xie Hanbing, these people are very sober-minded and know that once a war breaks out in the Taiwan Strait, with the mainland's current military strength, there is a high probability that all of Taiwan's troops and weapons and equipment will be destroyed by the mainland within a few hours. When the time comes, what will the Taiwan side do to confront the mainland, and it will be interesting to see if these "Taiwan independence" elements will use light weapons to confront the PLA's tanks, armored vehicles, armed helicopters, and armed drones.
