The reporter learned from Beijing Capital and Daxing airports that during the holiday, the capital airport is expected to transport 918,300 passengers, with a daily average of 183,700 passengers, and the passenger volume increased by about 21% year-on-year, and Daxing Airport is expected to guarantee 4,364 flights, with an average daily flight volume of about 872 flights. The number of passengers on both domestic and international flights has increased significantly.

According to the current data, the number of inbound and outbound flights during the "May Day" period will not be less than 70, and the average number of outbound passengers will not be less than 14,000 per day.
As outbound demand continues to recover, flights are also resuming at an accelerated pace. In the near future, the Capital Airport plans to resume flights from Beijing to Havana, Riyadh, London Gatwick, Edinburgh, Prague and Baghdad, as well as international routes to Frankfurt, Vienna, Incheon and Sapporo.
Shi Mengmeng, Director of Aviation Development of the Aviation Business Department of Capital Airport: At present, there are 83 international destinations (at Capital Airport), including 42 intercontinental destinations, and the daily outbound flights have reached 2 or more. There are 41 destinations in Asia, and the number of outbound flights has reached 3 or more per day.
On May 1, the number of international air ticket bookings hit a new single-day high for the same period
According to data from online booking platforms, more travelers choose to travel abroad during this year's May Day holiday.
- The number of international air ticket bookings departing on May 1 exceeded that of 2019, setting a new single-day high for May Day of the previous year, an increase of 20% compared with 2019, and the number of air ticket bookings for nearly 100 outbound travel destinations exceeded that of 2019.
- The Middle East and Europe are popular outbound travel directions during this year's "May Day" holiday. On the booking platform, the number of air ticket bookings in Saudi Arabia and Egypt in the Middle East has increased by more than three times, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Qatar have increased by more than 50%, and the number of air ticket bookings in Europe has increased by one time in the United Kingdom, Hungary, Ireland, Spain and Croatia.
- The number of air ticket bookings to many visa-free destinations exceeded that of 2019, with air ticket bookings to Thailand and Malaysia exceeding 30% during the May Day period, air ticket bookings to Singapore and Georgia increasing by more than 1 times, and air ticket bookings to Kazakhstan and the UAE increasing by more than 2 times.
