In order to further promote the spirit of May Fourth and stimulate the patriotic feelings and sense of social responsibility of the young generation, on April 30, the Party Committee and Government of Pumped Township of Fusong County organized a volunteer activity for the improvement of the living environment with the theme of "inheriting the spirit of May Fourth and showing the demeanor of youth". The purpose of this event is to enable young people to better understand and inherit the progressive, democratic and scientific spirit contained in the May Fourth Movement through practical actions.
During the event, the youth volunteers were divided into groups and thoroughly cleaned the surrounding environment of the township government. Holding brooms, garbage bags and other tools, they carefully cleaned up the garbage and weeds on both sides of the road, so that the countryside took on a new look. In terms of cultural knowledge promotion, volunteers set up a propaganda booth in the township government square to distribute historical materials and cultural brochures related to the May Fourth Movement to the people in the past. They patiently explained the historical significance and influence of the May Fourth Movement and guided the masses, especially the younger generation, to inherit and carry forward the spirit of the May Fourth Movement.
This volunteer activity not only enhanced the sense of social responsibility and the spirit of unity and cooperation of the young volunteers, but also further promoted the spirit of May Fourth and injected new vitality into the construction of a harmonious society and the development of pumped townships.
In the next step, the government of Pumped Township will continue to take this opportunity to carry out more volunteer activities with the characteristics of the times, so that the spirit of May Fourth will shine more brilliantly in the new era and contribute to the prosperity and development of Pumped Township.
