The competition mainly takes the preliminary round, online semi-final,
The three-level format of the live finals
Preliminary round
It shall be carried out by the township (street) comprehensive cultural service centers and branch libraries, and the county-affiliated schools and primary school districts in their own arrangements.
Online semi-finals
By submitting videos, the outstanding contestants will be shortlisted for the on-site finals through the judging. The deadline for video submissions is May 15, 2024. The semi-final judging time is May 20, 2024.
Live finals
The live finals will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Venue for the finals: Studio on the third floor of Minhou County Science and Technology Center (tentative).
Entry Requirements
1. Entries should meet public moral standards, shall not violate national laws and regulations, have good ideological, artistic and ornamental nature, and the content of the story theme shall be healthy and lively, full of childlike interest, short and concise, and have a storyline. The form of performance should highlight oral expression, which should be different from recitation, speech, opera and other forms of expression.
2. The theme of this competition should focus on the themes of "Fu" culture, "Houguan culture", cultural tourism stories, red stories and other excellent traditional cultural and tourism resources of Fujian.
3. Storytelling time: no more than 2 minutes for the kindergarten group and no more than 3 minutes for the primary school group. The number of sketch performers is 3-5 people, and the number of people shall not exceed 5, and the performance time shall not exceed 10 minutes. Points will be deducted for those who overtime will be deducted as appropriate, and background music shall not be used during the performance of the storytelling competition, and background music may be used during the sketch performance.
4. Each contestant can only register from one of the channels of the township (street) comprehensive cultural service center, branch library, county schools, and primary school districts.
Video shooting requirements for online semi-finals
1. Contestants need to wear formal clothes or performance clothes, in a bright place, facing the camera lens, panoramic horizontal screen recording, one shot to the end.
2. The video of the competition shall not be edited for artistic beautification, including the editing and splicing of images and audio, and the synchronization of sound and image is strictly required.
3. Submit and register in strict accordance with the requirements of the video, and each contestant only has one chance to register, and will not register after the deadline.
4. The registration video materials will not be returned, and if they do not meet the video requirements or are overdue, they will be deemed to be automatically waived.
Precautions for Participation
The participating videos shall be submitted by the township (street) comprehensive cultural service center, branch library, county schools, and primary school districts.
The submitted video is named after "group + name + contact number + name of the work".
The entries shall not be changed at will without special circumstances, and the relevant information of the works shall not be changed at will, and each work shall be reported to an instructor.
Awards
The finalists in each group will be awarded the first, second, and third prizes and several outstanding instructors respectively (the award settings will be adjusted according to the actual registration situation).
The organizer will recommend outstanding contestants from each group to participate in the 16th Children's Storytelling King Competition in Fuzhou.
