Rapeseed husk and rape straw are automatically crushed into powder and evenly thrown in the field to realize the straw returning to the field.
On the other hand, the rape stalks are cut down in an orderly manner, leaving rows of neat straws, and the rape stalks are dried on the spot for four or five days, and then the machinery is used to pick up and thresh in time.
"For the high ripeness of the rape, we use a one-piece harvest, and for the less ripe rape, we use a two-stage harvest. The labor-saving, time-saving, cost-saving and efficiency-enhancing harvesting method has allowed growers to taste the sweetness brought by agricultural modernization. "Today, we take mechanical harvesting of 235 acres of rapeseed, each machine can harvest about 10 acres per hour, and the cost of harvesting and drying per mu can be saved by 150 yuan. Wu Yu, a grower, said that during the harvesting process, the straw is returned directly to the field, which is not only environmentally friendly, but also improves soil fertility.
"With the blessing of mechanized operations, the rapeseed harvesting progress has been accelerated, and it is expected that the harvest will be fully completed in early May, and after the rapeseed harvest is completed, the next round of rice planting will be carried out. The relevant person in charge of Qingshen County said that in 2024, the sowing area of rape in Qingshen County will be 61,200 mu, an increase of 3,800 mu from last year, with a total output of about 7,715 tons and an output value of about 57.09 million yuan. At present, most of the county's oilseed production is mechanized, and the mechanical rate of rapeseed harvesting is 90.82%.
