We are the first short film creation platform in China with the concept of "Bay Area", and we hope to discover outstanding young film and television creators, and unite them to take the Bay Area as a starting point, focus on the theme of the Bay Area, explore the stories of the Bay Area, and let the Bay Area go out in the form of short films.
We need you to create a short film with a professional artistic standard:
●Aesthetic and thoughtful
●The image is real and the plot is vivid
●Wood unlimited,
●Set the story in the Greater Bay Area (especially Longgang District, Shenzhen).

The event will go through three rounds of selection, and finally incubate 3 short films.
The short film will be led by the professional tutor of Beijing Film Academy, assisted by the Youth Film Studio, and funded by the special fund for the promotion and cultural development of Longgang District, Shenzhen, to jointly help incubate 3 short films.
The three short films will also participate in the competition for major film festivals at home and abroad.

Star Mentor
Wang Foot
Dean and professor of the School of Fine Arts of Beijing Film Academy, and member of the expert database of the Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education. His works involve painting, installation, video and other fields. He served as the art director of Mei Feng's film "Unproblematic Problem", which won the "Best Artistic Contribution Award" in the main competition unit of the 29th Tokyo International Film Festival, the "Special Jury Award - Best Art Direction Award" at the 35th Tehran FAJR International Film Festival, and the "Best Art Exploration Award" at the 25th Beijing University Student Film Festival. He served as the art director of the China/Malaysia co-production film "Three Adventures of Xingxi", which was shortlisted for the Venice Day section of the 75th Venice International Film Festival, won the "Silver Balloon Award" at the Nantes Three Continents Film Festival, the "Firebird Film Award" at the 43rd Hong Kong International Film Festival Rookie Film Competition (nominated), and the most popular film in the China New Generation Unit of the 2nd Pingyao International Film Festival (nominated). He served as the art director of director Mei Feng's film "Love Song 1980", which was shortlisted for the 33rd Tokyo International Film Festival, the 24th Tallinn Black Night International Film Festival, and the 3rd Hainan International Film Festival. His works have been exhibited in important art institutions such as the Exhibition Hall of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the Digital Art Museum of the China Millennium Monument, the Hubei Museum of Art, the Today Art Museum in Beijing, the Bank ART1929 Art Museum in Yokohama, and the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art.
Liu Jiayin
Associate Professor, Department of Literature, Beijing Film Academy. In 2002, Liu Jiayin won the Best Director Award in the Short Film Competition Unit of the Beijing University Student Film Festival for his first short film "Train". In 2005, he wrote, directed and acted in the feature film "Cowhide", which won the FIPRESCI International Film Critics Award in the Youth Forum Unit of the 55th Berlin International Film Festival. In 2009, he wrote, directed and acted in the feature film "Cowhide 2", which won the Critics' Choice Award and the Audience Choice Award at the Seoul Digital Film Festival. In 2011, his screenplay "Clean and Bright" won the Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Council Script Development Fund Award. In 2018, he served as a review jury member of the venture capital unit of the 12th FIRST Youth Film Festival. In 2020, he served as a mentor for the 3rd HAF Film Training Pilot Program. In 2023, the self-written and directed feature film "It's Worth the Trip" was shortlisted for the main competition unit of the Golden Goblet Award at the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival, and won the Best Director and Best Actor Awards at the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival.
Cao Ting
Vice Dean and Professor of the School of Photography of Beijing Film Academy, Master Tutor, Director of the Creative Practice Division, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Youth Film Studio Co., Ltd., Vice President of the Micro Video Short Film Committee of the China Canton Federation, Director of the China Network Audiovisual Service Association, and Director of the Film and Television Society of China Colleges and Universities. At present, on the basis of teaching, he is mainly engaged in the creation and research of films, dramas, portrait photography, fashion photography and digital image art. He served as the producer of the "Tao of China" series of short films of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, the producer of the drama "Bone Language 2", the artistic director of the film "The Sword of Affection", the series of short films "The Lighter" that paid tribute to the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China as the producer and director won the excellent work of the China Television Artists Association's "Ideal Shines on China - Commemorating the Centenary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China", and won the first prize in the national micro-video short film promotion and broadcast, and served as the producer of the film "It's Worth the Trip", which won the Best Director at the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival. Best Actor Award: Served as the producer of the film "Chasing the Moon", which was shortlisted for the Temple of Heaven Award at the 12th Beijing International Film Festival, and was nominated for the Best Actress Award and the Best Small and Medium-Cost Film at the 36th Golden Rooster Awards. As the curator, the video exhibition "Faces of China" won the Outstanding Exhibition Award at the 10th Lishui Photography Festival, the photographic work "Woman and Flower" series won the "Expert Recommended Exhibition" of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th University "Teaching and Learning" Photography Exhibition, "Footprints" won the third prize of the Citizen International Photography Competition, and "Silence" won the third prize of the Beijing University Teachers and Students Photography Exhibition.

Precautions
1. The submitted work must be unpublished and free of legal disputes (including personal original and authorized adaptations), and the applicant must ensure that the content of the work is independent and self-authorized;
2. The work should conform to the core values of socialism, be positive, and the subject matter is not limited, with the Greater Bay Area (especially Longgang District, Shenzhen) as the background;
3. The submitted works must have professional artistic standards, adapt to contemporary aesthetic tastes, psychological states and ways of thinking, and require clear thoughts, real images, and vivid plots, which can bring a beautiful audio-visual feast to the audience.

Selection process
1. After the end of the project collection, the organizer will conduct a preliminary evaluation of the submitted works and select a certain number of works.
2. After receiving the shortlisted team, the shortlisted team that has passed the first round of screening must provide the completed script, the resume and portfolio of the team's main creators, and conduct a re-evaluation in the form of on-site defense, and the top 10 teams will enter the third evaluation;
3. The shortlisted three judging teams provide: complete storyboard, production plan and reference image.
In the end, 10 into 3, support 3 short films to complete.
The organizing committee will provide production funds to help the three shortlisted short films to shoot support. The three short films will also participate in the competition for major film festivals at home and abroad.
