In order to conscientiously implement the requirements of the special action of "inspecting and protecting people's livelihood" deployed by the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the autonomous region, and effectively ensure the safety of people's livelihood. Recently, the Yanchi County People's Procuratorate successfully mediated two cases of refusal to pay labor remuneration.
In May 2023, a construction company in Ningxia hired 12 migrant workers to build a cave project in a certain place in Mahuang Mountain, and after the project was completed, the wages of 12 migrant workers were owed more than 220,000 yuan and had not been paid for a year. In November 2023, a construction company in Sichuan and the Yinchuan branch of a construction company in Ningxia hired 27 migrant workers to implement a hotel soft decoration project in Yanchi, and a total of more than 430,000 yuan in arrears of wages for 27 migrant workers is currently owed. Due to the long arrears of the two cases, after grasping the clues of the cases, the prosecutor of the Yanchi County People's Procuratorate immediately collected relevant evidence, questioned the persons in charge of the two companies and the migrant workers who were owed wages, and learned more about the situation of the cases. It was found that in both cases, there were problems in the company's operation and management, resulting in the failure to pay the wages of migrant workers on time. In order to effectively solve this problem, our court took the initiative to communicate with the county public security bureau, the county labor inspection department, and the enterprises involved in the case, listened carefully to the difficulties and problems raised by the enterprises involved in the case, patiently preached to them the relevant laws and regulations on protecting the wages of migrant workers, and substantively resolved the conflicts through mediation methods such as "blending reason and law" and "empathy", and actively facilitated the parties to reach mediation opinions and implement them.
In the next step, our hospital will continue to implement the special action of "inspecting and protecting people's livelihood", continue to increase cooperation and cooperation with the county labor inspection department, improve the coordination and linkage mechanism of information sharing, case notification, case transfer, etc., so as to realize the seamless connection between administrative law enforcement and criminal justice, so as to actively perform their duties, strengthen coordination and cooperation, jointly eradicate the problem of wage arrears, and ensure that migrant workers get their due wages and remuneration in time and in full.
