At the premiere scene, director Li Dachao said that the film restored the real scene of the peacekeeping mission area to the greatest extent, from reproducing the entire African town to depicting the graffiti with regional characteristics on the broken wall, "Our art teacher spent half a year to cover it up and redo it again." And the armored car, helmet, gun and bullet and other props are also 1:1 restoration. Producer Liu Weiqiang also shared his casting criteria, "skillful", "high coordination", "language talent" and other factors are all considerations, but the most important one is to have "spirit".
Huang Jingyu, known as the "special forces of internal entertainment", was "promoted" to the captain of the detachment in the movie this time, but ridiculed that what he gained was the first experience of "large-scale beating". When it comes to the role he plays, Huang Jingyu describes it as "cold face and warm heart" and "short protection". Although he usually seems to be taciturn, when a team member encounters danger or blame, it is always the domineering captain who rushes to the front. With him, the players will always have a sense of security. There is an action scene in the movie in which Yu Weidong (played by Huang Jingyu) fights more than 200 pounds of strong men. For this scene, Huang Jingyu said that the rival actors are as good at jiu-jitsu as himself, so the two who "meet friends with martial arts" "hit it off" and added jiu-jitsu movements to this scene.
In the film, Yang Zhen (played by Wang Yibo) has a scene of being captured and abused. The thugs pinched Yang Zhen's shoulder without mercy, causing the already injured wound to tear and bleed again. When talking about this scene, Wang Yibo said that for Yang Zhen, what he wanted at that time was to stick to the bottom line of the police, "no matter what, you can't succumb to the thugs, and protect your teammates."
Liaison officer Ding Hui (played by Zhong Chuxi) is a gentle and tenacious character, in the film, she disregards her own safety again and again to protect foreign children. In order to create a good role as a liaison officer, Zhong Chuxi learned French from scratch, and she would practice repeatedly anytime and anywhere during filming, until she was satisfied with a large number of French lines. Outside the play, Zhong Chuxi also took the initiative to learn about the real experience of many peacekeeping policemen, and a passage written in the diary by the sacrificial peacekeeping policeman and Zhihong made her remember it vividly. "In the world, I may be just a feather, but I also want to carry the wish for peace in the way of a feather."
Mulan, a key witness in the film, the actor of Selena's mother, and a foreign actor, also came to the scene, and she highly recognized the film's reproduction, believing that the film truly showed the brutal scenery of the mission area. Having studied and lived in China for more than ten years, she said that "China is a country where people feel very safe", and she also hopes to learn more about Chinese culture and Chinese spirit to bring back to Africa. Director Li Dachao admitted that the initial starting point of the film was actually when he heard the news of the sacrifice of 8 Chinese peacekeepers in the mission area, and he was deeply touched at that time. Mao Rongfeng, an equipment expert of the Ministry of Public Security, a first-class meritorious hero, and a peacekeeping-related mission more than 10 times overseas during his service, said emotionally, "I am the comrade-in-arms of those eight martyrs." Therefore, he was deeply touched after watching the movie, and choked up several times when he spoke, and "thanked the creators for promoting the deeds of the peacekeeping police, and felt the hard work of the creators from the movie." Liu Zhengzheng, a former peacekeeping policeman, recognized the film's restoration of the peacekeeping mission area, and bluntly said that "the movie pulled my memories back to 20 years ago", and the picture of the armored vehicle being blown up in front of his eyes is still vivid in his mind.
Guan Qing, president and editor-in-chief of the China Police Network of the News and Media Center of the Ministry of Public Security, was moved by the "demeanor and difficulty" of the peacekeeping police portrayed in the movie, and "saluted" all the people's police who were silently dedicated. Eba Luc, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Benin in China, said that he saw the professionalism of the crew from the details of the film, and "saw the very brave peacekeepers representing China overseas".
