On the 28th, the opening ceremony and award ceremony of the 5th National Unity Calligraphy, Fine Arts, Photography, and Micro Video Contest were held at the Tibet Museum of Natural Science, and 83 works stood out.

According to reports, this competition closely follows the main line of forging the sense of community of the Chinese nation, continues to deepen and strive to create a national model area for ethnic unity and progress, and constantly promotes exchanges and integration of various ethnic groups. Chen Jin, deputy dean of the Tibet College (School of Continuing Education) of the National Open University of Tibet University, said that through the stage of this competition, the vast number of literary and artistic workers sang the main theme of loving the motherland and the party and contributing their strength to the cause of national unity with calligraphy, art, photography, and micro-video works.

Since the competition was launched on September 14, 2023, more than 5,000 excellent works have been received from all over the country, and 83 works have finally stood out. With a unique perspective and vivid brushstrokes, the work shows the creator's profound skills of studying quietly and striving for perfection, revealing the creator's praise for the beautiful China, the great beauty of Tibet and the beautiful life, and expressing the strong desire of the contestants to forge a strong sense of community of the Chinese nation, build a new era and forge ahead on a new journey.

Zhang Chong, a judge of the final evaluation team of the Chinese calligraphy competition, a member of the Chinese Calligraphy Association, vice chairman and secretary general of the Tibet Calligraphy Association, said: "The number of works submitted to this exhibition is large, and the overall quality has improved compared with the previous sessions. It can be said that after careful organization and creation in recent years, the exhibition has gradually become a well-known brand of Tibetan calligraphy in China. ”

Guo Zha, the second prize winner of the art group of the competition and a first-year student of the Fine Arts Department of the Academy of Arts of Tibet University, said: "As a young person in the new era, I am really honored to be able to tell the story of national unity and spread the good voice of national unity in the way I am good at. Winning this honor is not only an affirmation, but also an encouragement. In the future, I will keep in mind my original intention and mission and contribute my strength to the cause of national unity. ”

After the award ceremony, the exhibition of the 5th National Unity Calligraphy, Fine Arts, Photography and Micro Video Contest of "Plateau Red Pomegranate Building the Chinese Dream Together" attracted the audience to stop and appreciate. The exhibition selects nearly 100 works to be displayed in five units, and a special invitational exhibition is set up. The exhibition will run until May 8.

The event was hosted by the Office of the Special Group for the Tibet Autonomous Region to Create a National Model Zone for Ethnic Unity and Progress, and undertaken by the Tibet Center of the Xinhua News Agency News and Information Center.
