From June 1986 to August 1991, Zhao Xingquan worked at Wude Health Center. This scene happened in 1988, and for Zhao Xingquan, who has been a doctor for more than 30 years, it is always fresh in his memory and unforgettable. Zhao Xingquan joked that this was the most memorable "bribe" he had been a doctor for more than 30 years, and in addition to the artichoke, he also gained an unprecedented sense of achievement. It is the duty of a physician to relieve pain for the people, and since then, Zhao Xingquan has strengthened his determination to take root in primary medical care, strive to serve the masses, and be a good general practitioner.

In order to let patients have a good attitude to overcome the disease, he will also pay attention to the psychological needs of patients while providing scientific and reasonable treatment plans, calm patients' fears and uneasiness, and help them build confidence in overcoming diseases.
In August 1994, Zhao Xingquan graduated from Kunming Medical College majoring in clinical medicine and returned to his original unit. After returning from his studies, he not only continued to relieve more suffering for the local people, but also worked hard to improve the medical standard of the health center. After serving as the dean, he led the medical staff of the hospital to focus on "returning to poverty due to illness", "restoring the labor force" and "focusing on prevention" in the local area, and made contributions to the local social stability and economic development, during which he was commended by many provinces, cities and counties, including the "Yunnan Science and Technology Rejuvenation Township Outstanding Contribution Award" by the Yunnan Provincial People's Government in 1999.

In December 2002, due to work needs, Zhao Xingquan was transferred to the Zhenxiong County Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Although his job role has changed, his original intention and spirit of protecting people's health, strengthening learning, and loving and dedicating himself to his job have not changed. While strengthening the study of preventive medicine knowledge, he organically combined the clinical medical knowledge and preventive medicine knowledge accumulated over the years to better guide the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.

During his work at the county CDC, Zhao Xingquan has carried out more than 100 training courses (times) on the prevention and control of emerging diseases such as immunization, endemic disease prevention and control, tuberculosis and AIDS prevention and management, and hand, foot and mouth disease in counties, townships and villages, with more than 7,000 trainees. He personally led the team to handle 104 infectious disease outbreaks and suspected or public health emergencies. Among them, he led the team to deal with the first three suspected "SARS" patients in Zhenxiong County, the diagnosis and treatment of the first case of hand, foot and mouth disease, the investigation of the first brucellosis epidemic, participated in the on-site rescue of 5 natural disasters in the county, organized the "5.10" post-flood health and epidemic prevention work in Zhenxiong Yudong Township, completed the screening of high-risk groups of AIDS in the county, served as the keynote speaker, carried out many trainings on the county's public health service projects, and trained more than 1,000 disease control personnel (times), effectively promoting hypertension, diabetes, and Standardized management of severe mental illness and the health of the elderly.
In 2015, after Zhao Xingquan, who was idle, was included in the training object of "county-level famous doctors", he gave full play to his business expertise and led 9 backbone people in the chronic disease department to run through 30 towns (streets) in the county for half a year, to investigate the current situation of leprosy patients in the county, and published the "Investigation of the Current Situation of 130 Existing Leprosy Patients in Zhenxiong County" Papers: Carried out 4 times of analysis of the AIDS epidemic situation and 21 lectures on prevention and control knowledge in Zhenxiong County, organized staff to conduct epidemiological analysis of public health emergencies in Zhenxiong County from 2002 to 2015, and wrote and published a paper "Overview of the Investigation and Handling of 67 Public Health Emergencies in Zhenxiong County in Yunnan Province in 10 Years".
Learning is my greatest passion
When I first met Zhao Xingquan, he was concentrating on the book on his desk, and the pen in his hand was sketching on the book from time to time, and a few loud knocks on the door attracted his attention.
Swimming, fitness, flower raising, mountaineering...... Zhao Xingquan has many hobbies. "But my biggest hobby is reading. Zhao Xingquan said, "General Secretary Xi Jinping has set a good example for everyone, and we must regard reading and learning as a life attitude, a work responsibility, and a spiritual pursuit." ”
After that, Zhao Xingquan took out a stack of treasures from the filing cabinet - all kinds of medical books. Open every book, and there are traces of red pen sketches inside. Then, Zhao Xingquan cautiously opened several file boxes, which were filled with the notes he had organized. Every time he turned a page of notes, Zhao Xingquan was able to count the contents of it. And it is these years of continuous learning and exploration that Zhao Xingquan has gained a lot and won countless honors.

In May 1996, he was awarded the "Advanced Worker in the Health System of the Whole Region" by the Zhaotong District Health Bureau, in December 1999, he was awarded the "Contribution Award for Rejuvenating the Township through Science and Technology" by the Yunnan Provincial People's Government, in March 2008, he was awarded the "Advanced Worker Award for Disease Prevention and Control" by the Yunnan Provincial Health and Family Planning Department, in February 2016, he was awarded the "Advanced Individual Award for the Prevention and Control of Tuberculosis in Yunnan Province (2011-2015)" by the Yunnan Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission, and in June of the same year, he was awarded the "Advanced Worker in the Third Round of the People's War against HIV/AIDS in Zhaotong City".
At the same time, Zhao Xingquan actively played the role of "passing, helping, and leading". "Passing on the knowledge and skills you have accumulated is not only a social responsibility, but also a way not to leave yourself with regrets. Zhao Xingquan said that because of this, he has always been enthusiastic about being a mentor and friend to young doctors, imparting his excellent skills and good medical ethics to young comrades without reservation, and contributing his own strength to the inheritance and development of medicine.
Although he is approaching retirement, Zhao Xingquan has always adhered to his love and dedication to the medical career, and has always maintained the pursuit of new knowledge and the exploration of new technologies, constantly updating his medical knowledge and skills, sticking to dedication and responsibility in ordinary positions, and writing extraordinary chapters.
