According to the China Manned Space Engineering Office, at 8:43 Beijing time on April 30, 2024, the Shenzhou-17 manned spacecraft and the space station assembly were successfully separated.
Before the separation, the Shenzhou-17 astronaut crew, with the cooperation of the ground personnel, completed the pre-evacuation work such as setting the state of the space station assembly, sorting and transmitting experimental data, cleaning and transferring the materials left in orbit, and completed the work handover with the Shenzhou-18 crew. Astronauts Tang Hongbo, Tang Shengjie, and Jiang Xinlin, who were on a business trip to the Chinese space station, have set off for their return home journey.
