In order to effectively prevent and reduce the occurrence of fire accidents, the Honggu District Fire and Rescue Brigade issued important tips on fire safety during the "May Day" holiday to remind social units and the public to pay attention to fire safety.
1. Social units should strictly implement the main responsibility for fire safety and implement fire prevention measures; the property management units of street communities and residential areas should strengthen the fire safety management of residents' electric bicycles, and strictly prohibit illegal parking or charging in residential corridors, stairwells, and safety exits;
2. Enterprises and institutions should conscientiously carry out fire hazard investigation, conduct comprehensive inspection and maintenance of electrical wiring, electrical facilities and fire-fighting facilities in key parts such as workshops, warehouses, and employee collective dormitories, so as to ensure that fire-fighting facilities and equipment are intact and effective.
3. Households should pay attention to the safe use of fire, electricity and gas, and educate their children not to play with fire; when going out, they should achieve "three clearances and three clearances" (i.e., clear the aisles, balconies, kitchens, turn off the power supply, turn off the gas source, and close the doors and windows); it is strictly forbidden to "illegally modify" electric bicycles, "people and vehicles in the same house", "enter the building and enter the house", "fly wire charging", etc.
Fourth, the catering service industry should regularly clean the smoke pipes, equip the necessary fire extinguishing facilities and equipment, and the staff should master the kitchen fire response measures; strengthen the inspection and maintenance of gas pipelines and appliances to strictly prevent gas leakage accidents.
5. It is strictly forbidden to occupy, block or close safety exits, evacuation passages and fire truck passages, and it is strictly forbidden to set up obstacles that hinder the evacuation and escape of personnel and fire fighting in crowded places.
6. Strengthen the management of fire sources, operate electrical equipment in accordance with regulations, pay attention to the safety of fire, electricity, gas and oil, and when it is necessary to work on fire, it is necessary to examine and approve it step by step, and implement on-site monitoring and prevention measures.
7. Strengthen fire safety education and training for employees, regularly organize fire extinguishing and evacuation drills, and improve employees' fire safety awareness and self-defense and self-rescue capabilities.
