With the water problem solved, where will Xiaodongshan go next? In 2006, Jing Yongdong set his sights on "the whole mountain".
"The mountains are bare, unsightly, and there is a hidden danger of soil erosion. Jing Yongdong said. Soon, under the leadership of the "two committees" of the village, more than 40,000 pine seedlings were planted in the village to carry out the work of mountain forest greening. A few years later, the mountains were lush and vibrant.
Xiaodongshan Village would not have thought that it was this move that laid the best foundation for the later development of the cultural tourism industry. Of course, that's an afterthought.
Xiaodongshan Village is mainly mountainous land, and the villagers' economic income mainly depends on planting sweet potatoes, peanuts and other crops, with low yield and poor efficiency.

In those years, he and the members of the "two committees" of the village went out to study. "Walnuts do not have a very large demand for water, and the benefits are considerable, you can try it!" When inspecting Fei County, Jing Yongdong was optimistic about planting walnuts.

Walnut's success did not make Jing Yongdong feel satisfied. How to lead the villagers to continue to increase their income? This time, he has set his sights on the bonsai industry.
Put pen to paper. Jing Yongdong said: "Cultivating bonsai is not a whim, there are villagers in our village who have planted bonsai and have rich experience and good benefits. ”
Throw off your arms and let it go. Xiaodongshan Village established a bonsai cooperative in the form of a party branch leader, and contracted the transferred land for unified management through anti-leasing and subcontracting, and used it for bonsai planting.
In 2019, Xiaodongshan Village held the first Bonsai Art Festival and became a well-known bonsai art village. At present, more than 30 villagers in Xiaodongshan Village have joined the cooperative. In 2023, the cumulative remuneration of members will reach more than 100,000 yuan, and the collective income of the village will reach 220,000 yuan.

Deeply cultivated in the bonsai industry for more than 30 years, Zhao Qijiang is optimistic about the prospects of bonsai in Xiaodongshan Village, and invested in the construction of Cangshan Bonsai Garden. "It's been five years since I went to Xiaodongshan Village to make bonsai. Usually, the work of spraying, weeding, fertilizing and other work in the garden requires labor, which is also a good thing for the villagers, allowing them to earn some extra pocket money. With the integration of culture and tourism, Xiaodongshan has changed dramatically again
In 2017, the planning of the Pressed Oil Gou Pastoral Complex brought the east wind of development to Xiaodongshan Village.
Jing Yongdong seized this opportunity and mobilized the masses to transfer all the mountainous land in the village to the scenic spot, and the villagers could collect 800 yuan per mu of land every year, expanding the channels for increasing income.
