Recently, the huge work of "ultra-light clay relief" created by the sixth-grade students of Dachengzi School in Miyun District completed the last process and was displayed on the campus. Beijing Youth Daily reporter learned that the work is 3.6 meters long and 1 meter wide, with the winding and majestic Great Wall under the red sun as the main body, covering the auspicious and beautiful campus, through the combination of realism and freehand, highlighting the theme of "the ancient rhyme of the Great Wall reflects the rising sun, and the campus book recites Huazhang".
It is understood that under the guidance of art teacher Li Shuqiang, the sixth grade students rely on the ancient battlefield site of "Wall Xiongguan", the famous V-shaped Great Wall and the Sawtooth Great Wall, combined with the school's "Cheng" culture, the Great Wall culture of their hometown into the art curriculum, through creative design, drawing, hollowing, coloring and other procedures, the Great Wall relief artwork made of ultra-light clay. The works show the students' rich knowledge of regional resources, comprehensive art techniques and creative ability, highlight the ancient charm of Xiongguan, and inherit the spirit of the ancient town of Xiongguan, which is also a precious gift to the school from the graduating sixth grade students.
Dachengzi School said that the school is located at the foot of the Great Wall, with unique historical and cultural heritage, and perfectly integrates natural landscapes and characteristic human resources, providing a huge space for moral education, aesthetic education, and ecological civilization education. This time, through the production of art and creative works, students can learn more about the Great Wall culture and traditional culture of their hometown, establish the feelings of loving their hometown and the motherland, and implement the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating people.
