The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:
1. From 0:00 on November 1, 2024, the first-generation social security cards issued by the Wuxi Urban Human Resources and Social Security Department between October 2005 and January 2015 within the urban area of Wuxi will be suspended.
Note: The "Jiangsu Provincial Social Security Card" issued from February 2015 and the "Jiangsu All-in-One Card" issued from December 2021 are not within the scope of this suspension and can continue to be used normally (the card style is attached).
2. The suspension of the first generation of social security cards refers to the cessation of the use of the social security function of the card. After the deactivation, the first-generation social security card will not be able to be used for medical treatment and drug purchase settlement, human resources and social security-related business handling, the cardholder's financial function shall be handled accordingly according to the regulations of the cooperative financial institution on the face of the social security card; the public transportation function of the "Wuxi Social Security Citizen Card" can continue to be used normally.

7. How to apply for Jiangsu (Wuxi) all-in-one card and what materials do I need to bring?
(1) You can apply for it by going to any service outlet of a cooperative financial institution of the social security card with the original valid identity document.
