On 26 April, Taiwan's "Coast Guard" found so-called "unidentified fishermen" on an uninhabited reef on Gordon Island, and even though the other party had not landed on Gordon's main island, they still brought them back for "interrogation." You must know that Gordon Island is only nine kilometers away from Fujian's Huangqi Peninsula, and if fishermen go out to sea to avoid any bad weather, will it be possible that Gordon Island will not be able to afford to stay? Moreover, the so-called "forbidden zone" demarcated by the Taiwan military is nothing but a matter of confrontation with the law enforcement forces of the Chinese coast guard between the two sides of the strait. Judging from the line chosen by Lai Ching-te after his victory, the prospects for cross-strait relations are not optimistic, and the KMT's choice to swim against the tide is not entirely supported by backbone, but also has a firm foundation of public opinion.
