New progress has been made in the fight against corruption in the automotive sector.

According to the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the State Supervision Commission, Lu Chuanwen, former secretary of the Party Committee of Dongfeng Motor (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. of Dongfeng Company, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Company and the Supervision Commission of Yichang City, Hubei Province.

He used to be the Secretary of the Party Committee of Dongfeng Renault

According to public information, Lv Chuanwen has worked in Dongfeng Company for many years, and has been engaged in personnel-related work for a long time in his early years, successively serving as the Director of the Cadre Division of the Organization Cadre Department of Dongfeng Motor Company, the Director of the Cadre Division of the Personnel (Cadre) Department of Dongfeng Motor Company, the Deputy Director of the Personnel (Cadre) Department of Dongfeng Motor Company, and the Director of the Organization and Information Department of Dongfeng Motor Company.

In April 2017, after the study and decision of the Party Committee of Dongfeng Company, Lv Chuanwen was appointed as Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Acting Chairman of the Labor Union of Dongfeng Renault Automobile Co., Ltd., with a term of office from April 25, 2017.

In April 2020, the shareholders of Dongfeng Renault announced that the joint venture would officially cease operations, Renault would transfer its 50% stake in Dongfeng Renault to Dongfeng Motor Group, and Dongfeng Renault would cease its business activities related to the Renault brand. In August 2020, Dongfeng Renault Automobile Co., Ltd. changed its name to Dongfeng Motor (Wuhan) Co., Ltd.

Since then, Lu Chuanwen has continued to serve as the company's party secretary. In November 2020, Lv Chuanwen attended Dongfeng Motor's 2020 National Fitness Table Tennis Activity as Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Labor Union of Dongfeng (Wuhan) Automobile Co., Ltd.

Dongfeng has a number of senior executives "dismissed"

Since the end of last year, a number of (former) executives of Dongfeng Company have been "dismissed".

On March 31, Xu Tiansheng, commercial director of Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd., was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Company and the Supervision Committee of Shiyan City, Hubei Province.

On March 21, Hu Xindong, the former executive vice president of Dongfeng Renault Automobile Co., Ltd., was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Company and the Xiangyang Municipal Supervision Commission of Hubei Province.

On March 19, Lv Weidong, honorary chairman of Dongfeng Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. of Dongfeng Company, was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Company and the Supervisory Committee of Hefeng County, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hubei Province.

On March 12, Chen Yafu, the former chief professional of Dongfeng Light Engine Co., Ltd., was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. and the Supervision Committee of Yicheng City, Hubei Province.

On February 20, Li Puming, secretary of Dongfeng Company Xiangyang Da'an Automobile Testing Center Co., Ltd., was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and has voluntarily surrendered, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Company and the Supervision Commission of Yichang City, Hubei Province.

On February 2, the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Company and the Supervision Committee of Enshi Prefecture and Shiyan City, Hubei Province made a statement to Kang Lihua, former member of the Party Committee and Executive General Manager of Dongfeng Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., former member of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Special Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., former Minister of the Finance and Accounting Department, and former Minister of the Finance and Accounting Department of Dongfeng Huashen Automobile Co., Ltd. Liu Qiheng, former Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Motor Trade Co., Ltd. Wang Jiawei, chairman of the trade union, and Yang Jun, former chief of the after-sales business development section of the after-sales service department of Dongfeng Nissan Automobile Sales Co., Ltd., conducted a review and investigation on serious violations of discipline and law, and the review and investigation have been completed, and in accordance with relevant regulations, Kang Lihua, Liu Qiheng, Wang Jiawei, and Yang Jun were transferred to the judicial organs for review and prosecution in accordance with the law.

On December 22, 2023, Tong Dongcheng, former member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of Dongfeng Company, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the State Supervision Commission in the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and the Hubei Provincial Supervision Commission.
