Monte Carlo, Monaco, April 28, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Mitch Evans took the 2024 Formula E Monaco victory, ending his curse of four leads. Evans and team-mate Nick Cassidy executed the team's strategy flawlessly, with Jaguar Racing taking the lead in 1-2 with a solid performance. Their tactics, especially the impeccable teamwork of activating the attack mode, helped Evans earn his first victory in Monaco and help Jaguar Racing to a second 1-2 win in Formula E.

Led by team-mate Nicassidy, the New Zealand duo showcased their strategic superiority by overtaking DS Penske's Vandoorn on lap 11.

With the subtle combination of Jaguar and two cars, Evans gradually opened up the gap between his teammates and gained enough space to activate the attack mode. And successfully passed the virtual safety car caused by Motara's accident at Turn 13.

As the race entered lap 14, Evans ceded the lead to teammate Cassidy, who activated the attack mode and (helped Cassidy) press down the two DS Penske cars behind him. On lap 17, Cassidy activated his second attack mode without damage while leading the race, and then relinquished the lead position to teammate Evans. In the end, the two won this well-deserved victory for the Jaguar team. DS Penske's Van Doorne joined them on the podium and the Belgian's first podium finish since winning the World Championship in Season 8, which was also a big moment for DS Penske Racing in front of a crowd in their hometown.

With the victory, Evans moved up to fifth place in the Drivers' Championship, cementing his position in the Season 10 Drivers' Championship contender, while Jaguar Racing continued to lead the Constructors' Championship with a strong performance.

Van Doorne's team-mate Vilgne was close behind in fourth. Pascal Verlein of Porsche Racing finished fifth and Oliver Rolland of Nissan Racing finished sixth. Seventh place went to Da Costa of Porsche Racing, followed closely by Fenestraz of Nissan Racing. Gunther, who was exceptionally consistent, finished ninth, earning more points for Maserati Racing at home in Monaco, while Andreti's Norman Nato finished last in the top 10.

Halfway through the Formula E season, the next races are set to be even more exciting and intense. The next race will take place on May 11 and 12 in Berlin, Germany, and Chinese fans should not miss the rounds 11 and 12 to be held in Shanghai, China, on May 25 and 26.
