Recently, the launching ceremony of the 2nd Shanghai "Five Education and Four Faith Youth Talk" subsidy education theme activity was held in Lv Xingwei Academy of Shanghai Shidong Experimental School (Shanghai Shidong Middle School). Through the "five campuses" activities such as "National Scholarship Students Entering the Campus", "Retired Soldiers Entering the Campus", "Public Security Cadet Policemen Entering the Campus", "Customs Students Entering the Campus" and "Skilled Craftsmen Entering the Campus", the activities allow young students to play a leading role on a broader stage and promote the integration of ideological and political education in primary and secondary schools in Shanghai.
Let every child have confidence in themselves, have hope for the future, and be useful to the country, the people, and the society, which is the mission and sentiment of funding and educating people in the new era. At the launching ceremony, representatives of primary and secondary school students escorted the national flag, the Communist Youth League flag and the Young Pioneers flag into the venue, sang the national anthem and activated the device, and the event officially kicked off.
Since entering the new era, student financial aid has been extended from "guaranteed funding" to "developmental funding", realizing a fundamental transformation from "having a school" to "learning well". In recent years, inspirational stories of students' "counterattacks" have been emerging, and behind the stories is that the national student financial aid policy system provides a strong backing for young students in need, so that every young student has the opportunity to shine in life and create infinite possibilities in the name of youth.
Subsequently, a youth growth event was officially opened, including five contents: "National Award Students Entering the Campus", "Retired Soldiers Entering the Campus", "Public Security Cadet Police Entering the Campus", "Customs Students Entering the Campus", and "Skilled Craftsmen Entering the Campus". Outstanding young students from various universities and secondary vocational schools interacted with students, integrating the "moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor" education into campus activities, showing the power of role models to the younger students.
National scholarship winners from Fudan University, Tongji University, and ShanghaiTech University talked about their unremitting struggles and colorful university life, encouraging students to keep forging ahead on the road of knowledge; student police officers from Shanghai Public Security College used real cases of "anti-fraud lectures" to lead students to identify telecommunication network fraud and escort the healthy growth of young people; customs students helped students improve their understanding of national security and cultivate students' patriotic feelings.
Retired soldiers and college students from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology demonstrated their excellent military skills by disassembling and assembling simulated firearms; college students from Shanghai University of Engineering Science and Shanghai Vocational College of Electronic Information Technology controlled balsa 30E, paper airplanes, Cessna 172 and other model aircraft to carry out flight performances, and demonstrated the skills of mobile robots and intelligent robots to automatically avoid obstacles and climb slopes, so that the seeds of scientific and technological innovation can take root in the hot soil of quality education.
During the event, Shidong students incarnated as campus docents to introduce the moving deeds of Fei Dafu, an alumnus of one of the 24 martyrs of Longhua, to the participants and college students, and told the educational practice and outstanding achievements of Mr. Lu Xingwei, the old principal and educator of Shidong, who is known as the "living fossil of basic education". Carry forward the red spirit, inherit the mission of the times, and vividly interpret the "century-old Shidong culture" with practical actions.
With the launch of the first activity of the second "Five Education and Four Faith Youth Talk" in Yangpu, the follow-up will be carried out in batches in all districts of the city to carry out the "Five into the Campus" activity.
