On April 25, Gongjing District held a comprehensive emergency drill for flood control and rescue in 2024 to prepare for the arrival of the flood season.
The drill was sponsored by the Gongjing District People's Government, undertaken by the Gongjing District Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters Office, the Gongjing District Geological Disaster Command Office, co-organized by the District Emergency Management Bureau, the District Water Affairs Bureau, the District People's Armed Forces Department, etc., and more than 200 people, including leaders, staff and militia from various towns and towns in Gongjing District, participated in the new bridge in Longtan Town.
The drill is based on the preparation for "preventing heavy floods, grabbing major dangers, fighting heavy floods, and relieving major disasters", and sets up scenarios assuming that heavy rain falls in the area and upstream of Longtan Town, the water level of the Xushui River rises rapidly, and the personnel, materials and equipment of the new bridge in Longtan Town are trapped, and it is found that one household of the new bridge in Longtan Town is besieged by floods.
The drill personnel are divided into emergency rescue group, security and evacuation group, medical rescue group and logistics support group, and after the danger occurs, according to the emergency plan, the command headquarters will carry out rescue in a unified manner. The drill was carried out around a number of projects such as "discovery and initial treatment, alarm reception and mobilization, personnel assembly, evacuation of personnel and materials, and personnel rescue".
The drill required the relevant departments of flood prevention at all levels in the region to conscientiously sum up their experience, improve and revise the plan in light of their own realities, improve the operability and practicability of the emergency plan at all levels, and lay a solid foundation for the actual combat of flood prevention, flood control, emergency rescue and disaster relief. It is necessary to further implement various flood prevention responsibility systems with the responsibility system of the chief administrative officer for flood prevention work as the core; flood prevention and drought control headquarters at all levels must regularly and irregularly check the situation of leading shifts and personnel on duty in place; all departments must pay close attention to weather changes, make timely predictions and forecasts of rain, water, and geological disasters, promptly issue early warning and transfer information, and keep the alarm bell ringing for a long time and pay unremitting attention to it.
Before the drill, Gongjing District also held the 2024 annual flood prevention and drought control and geological disaster prevention and control work conference, and conducted training on flash flood prevention and control group survey and group prevention construction.
