Hyperuricemia is one of the common metabolic diseases in modern people, and the rational use of drugs is the key to treatment. At the same time, it is also very important to know the correct time to take medication. The drugs commonly used by gout patients can be divided into three categories, namely anti-inflammatory analgesics, uric acid-lowering drugs and alkalizing urine drugs.

1. Anti-inflammatory and analgesics

Indomethacin – taken after meals at 7 a.m. The initial dose is 25~30mg, and 25mg after reduction.

Piroxicam – to be taken after a meal. 20 mg daily, once at a time.

Naproxen – to be taken after meals. 500~750mg per day, divided into two doses.

Etoricoxib – to be taken after meals. 120 mg daily, once daily.

Celecoxib – to be taken after meals. 200 mg daily, once daily.

Diclofenac sodium – to be taken after meals. 75mg each time, once at a time.

Prednisone – to be taken after breakfast. 0.5mg(kg·d), the course of treatment is 5~10 days.

2. Urate-lowering drugs

非布司他——餐时或餐后服用。 起始剂量20mg/d,2~4周可增加20mg/d,最大剂量80mg/d。

别嘌醇——早餐后服用。 起始剂量100mg/d,每2~4周增加100mg/d,最大剂量800mg/d。

苯溴马隆——早餐后服用。 起始剂量25mg/d,2~4周可增加25mg/d,最大剂量100mg/d。

3. Alkalizing urine drugs

Sodium bicarbonate tablets - taken with water after meals, the usual dose is 0.5~1.0g, 3 times a day.

Potassium sodium citrate - taken after meals, the general dosage is 9~10g/d.

4. Lifestyle adjustments

Dietary control of purine intake in the diet is an important factor affecting blood uric acid levels. Patients with hyperuricemia should avoid high-purine foods, such as red meat, seafood, beer, etc., and consume more vitamin- and mineral-rich foods such as vegetables, fruits, and low-fat dairy products.

Moderate exerciseModerate aerobic exercise can increase uric acid excretion and lower blood uric acid levels. Patients with hyperuricemia are advised to do at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise per week, such as walking, jogging, swimming, etc.

5. Regular inspections
