Just the day before yesterday, the Canadian Chemistry Contest (CCC) exam held by the Canadian Chemical Society ended, this year's CCC exam is less difficult than in previous years, the questions have become shorter, more than half of the classic CCC real questions, such as the organic chemistry exam has 4 classic question types: the molecular formula of organic matter, what functional group organic matter contains, the judgment of organic reaction type and the judgment of the last organic matter isomer!
2024 UKChO Competition Score Cut-off
In total, 14,915 students from 1025 schools participated in the competition in 2024. Compared to the 11,838 participants in the 2023 UKCHO competition, the number of participants in the 2024 UKCHO competition has increased significantly, because more and more people are aware of the gold content of the UKCHO competition, which is recognized by Oxbridge and other companies, as a chemistry competition.
2024 UKCHO Competition Score Line:
UKCHO Gold Award: 30 points or more, 1238 people won the award, accounting for 8.3% of the winners
UKCHO Silver Award: 18-29 points, 3,725 winners, accounting for 25% of the winners
UKCHO Bronze Award: 10-17 points, 5,490 winners, accounting for 36.8% of the total number of winners

In 2024, the UKChO overall award score has dropped significantly, especially the Gold Award, which has dropped by 8 points compared to 2023. In 2024, the number of UKChO participants will increase, resulting in an increase in the overall number of winners, although the proportion of winners will be lower than in 2023. UKChO Considerations
UKChO is a 2-hour written test with no labs.
The exam generally contains 5-6 questions, with a total score of 80-85 points, of which 2 questions are usually organic, accounting for about 2/5, which varies from year to year.
Officially, it is generally recommended to do organic for 1 hour and non-organic for the other 1 hour. UKChO questions are more flexible, close to life and application, and the originality and quality of the questions are excellent.
The non-organic part of UKChO is basically at the A-level or IB chemistry level, and the assessment level of structure and kinetics is relatively high, while the thermodynamics, equilibrium and electrochemistry requirements in the corresponding principles are low.

⏩AMC Math Competition
The full name of AMC is American Mathematics Competitions. There are three levels: AMC8 / AMC10 / AMC12, which are allowed to students up to grades 8/10/12 respectively, the United States and beyond, and middle school students in China.
AMC10 and AMC12 are the most common participants, with a total of 25 multiple-choice questions and a 75-minute answering time. If you do well in both AMC 12 and AMC 10, you will qualify for AIME (American Math Invitational, which is more difficult than the AMC series).

⏩BPHO Physics Competition
BPhO is a physics competition in high schools in the UK, which is extensive and extremely challenging. For students who are interested in applying to the G5 and other international universities in the UK, participating in BPhO is not only a great way to show their strengths, but also attract the attention of admissions officers, which is an excellent way to improve their academic background and competitiveness.
The BPhO Physics Olympiad (BPhO British Secondary School Physics Olympiad) is divided into Round 1 and Round 2, and Round 1 is not limited to participation.
Section 1: Up to 50 points can be awarded for Part 1. The Q1 questions are assigned a total of about 84 points and make up the entirety of Part 1. (If the contestant answers a question with a total score of more than 50 points, then the score for the wrong answer will be ignored and the score for the correct answer will be added together).
Section 1: Each question in Part 2 is worth 25 points, and you can answer any 2 of them.
The perfect score for the British Physics Olympiad is 100 points.
