At the edge of the village, mulberries are "sweet" hanging branches, layered and vibrant. Ding Chengwei, secretary of the general party branch of Miaomiaohu Village, shuttled through the mulberry fields, busy thinning branches, weeding, and tending to drip irrigation facilities to check the pests and diseases of trees.
Miaomiaohu Village has 150 acres of fruit forests, planting peach, plum, apricot, mulberry and other varieties of fruit trees. Previously, it has been managed by a third party, and the economic benefits are not high. This year, Miaomiaohu Village took back the right to manage and protect the land, and renovated the land, so that the fields were "small and large, curved and straight, steep and flat, and zero and whole", and adopted the method of "soil first, field second, waste first, and mature last", reasonably replanting seedlings, and planting ecological forests on both sides of non-cultivated land and roads, and developing characteristic economic fruit forests in general agricultural land, courtyards, and in front of and behind houses, and coordinating the promotion of ecological forests and fruit forests "two-way running", "afforestation, industry, and landscaping" go hand in hand. At the same time, management and protection measures should be strengthened to ensure that where trees are planted, management personnel will follow up, and where forests are planted, management and protection responsibilities will be implemented.
Ding Chengwei said: "In the early stage, we hired professional pruners to prune, followed by pest control work, and now we take the way of scribing and responsible, 12 people are divided into 2 groups, and all the fruit forests are managed, and strive to produce economic benefits this year." ”
