Notice on the implementation of temporary traffic control on some sections of the road in the jurisdiction
This year's "May Day" holiday coincides with the "March Twenty-third Mazu's Birthday", Meizhou Island and the North Shore Economic and Technological Development Zone will hold grand folk activities, with tourists weaving, and it is expected that the jurisdiction will usher in a peak of traffic flow. In order to ensure the safety and smoothness of the road to Meizhou Island in Putian, in accordance with Article 39 of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, the North Shore Public Security Traffic Police decided to implement temporary traffic control in some sections of Shanting Town, Economic Development Zone on the North Shore from April 28, 2024 to May 5, 2024 according to the traffic situation, so as to guide vehicles to be diverted and parked in an orderly manner.
The specific notice is as follows:
1. The parking lot of Wenjia Wharf will be temporarily suspended as an emergency response and evacuation center. Wenjia Wharf shall not be illegally parked.
2. Open the "Meizhou Island Mazu Cultural Tourism Zone Parking Lot" located in Mazu City, Shanting Town, Economic Development Zone, North Shore Economic Development Zone for tourists to park their vehicles, and arrange free shuttle buses to pick up tourists to Wenjia Wharf Tourist Distribution Center to buy tickets and ferries. Self-driving tourists are requested to navigate to the "Meizhou Island Mazu Cultural Tourism Zone Parking Lot" through Gaode and Baidu maps.
3. During the temporary control period, except for buses, tourist buses, emergency vehicles, official vehicles and vehicles of Wenjia community residents (with ID cards) can freely pass to Wenjia Wharf, other vehicles (including Meizhou Islander vehicles, online car-hailing, etc.) should pass in accordance with the traffic police command and sign instructions, and park in the "Meizhou Island Mazu Cultural Tourism Zone Parking Lot".
4. Instructions for travelers' driving, parking, connection and return
1. Driving: After the vehicle gets off the Meizhou Expressway exit, it is forbidden to pass to the left, please follow the Meizhou Expressway exit - go straight to Ligang Avenue - Jinhu Avenue traffic light - turn left Jinhu Avenue - Jinhu Avenue and Tianhou Road intersection temporary traffic light - go straight to Xianliang Road - go directly to the "Meizhou Island Mazu Cultural Tourism Zone Parking Lot".
2. Parking: Please follow the instructions and the guidance of the on-site staff to park the vehicle in the "Meizhou Island Mazu Cultural Tourism Zone Parking Lot".
3. Shuttle: Please walk to the No. 1 parking lot connection area to take the free bus shuttle bus and purchase tickets at the Wenjia Pier Tourist Distribution Center. The connection time is from April 28 to May 5, 2024, from 7:00 am to the end of the night flight on the same day. If you can't find the shuttle vehicle, you can contact the Wenjia Ferry Terminal Visitor Service Center.
4. Return: Please enter "Meizhou Island Expressway Entrance" in Baidu, Gaode map, return along the original road, Meizhou Island Mazu Cultural Tourism Zone Parking Lot - go straight to Xianliang Road - Jinhu Avenue - turn right to Ligang Avenue - go straight to Meizhou Expressway entrance.
5. Due to the large number of tourists visiting Meizhou Island during the May Day Golden Week, in order to effectively avoid the problem of "parking difficulties", it is recommended that tourists choose public transportation as much as possible to travel and play more comfortably and calmly.
6. Tips:
The weather has been changeable recently, so please pay close attention to the weather information and ferry flight dynamics, and make travel arrangements in advance.
The public security traffic police department will lift the traffic control in a timely manner according to the actual situation. The broad masses of the people are requested to consciously abide by the traffic control regulations, actively assist and cooperate with the traffic police, and jointly create an orderly, smooth, convenient and pleasant travel environment.
