"The mind is unique and quiet, like a thousand years of eternal brightness", a profound dialogue about time, eternity and art quietly unfolded in Xuhui. On April 24th, Heart Image: II.: "Eternal Time" - Shanghai Normal University Joint Art Exhibition opened in Huihong Building, No. 208 Wending Road, Xuhui District.
In April 2023, the Heart Image I.: "Heart Image Mirror" Shanghai Normal University Academy of Fine Arts Graduate Works Exhibition was successfully held, and the "post-00" young creators showed their experiences and thoughts in the form of oil paintings, prints, sculptures, etc. After a year, and coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the founding of Shanghai Normal University, the Heart Image Curators Alliance once again gave the "Heart Image II." answer sheet - an innovative way to bring together more than 90 graduate and undergraduate young creators from the Academy of Fine Arts, the School of Music, and the School of Film and Television Media of Shanghai Normal University, to explain the understanding of "eternal truth" and "the meaning of time" through the perspective of different art categories, and bring the audience the most real pleasure and purest thinking with the synaesthesia of beauty.
In the exhibition hall, time is no longer an abstract concept, but has been transformed into every detail and every color, so that every audience who walks into the space can feel the beauty that transcends the moment and touches the eternity.
The oil painting "Immersion" on canvas uses the fusion of classical techniques and contemporary elements to capture the subtle changes of light and shadow in a realistic way, and the brushstrokes carry a delicate perception of the passage of time. The calligraphy work "Excerpt from the Broom of the Cold Mountain" shows the charm of line art in the transformation of brush and ink, dry and wet, revealing the author's perception of the passage of time and the fluctuation of emotions. The photographic work "Twilight Lakeside" freezes the tranquil beauty of the lakeside in the twilight with the depth of field and the contrast of light and shadow, making people feel the natural beauty of time standing still......
This exhibition highlights the concept of "big art", innovatively integrates static art, dynamic music, film and television art, and enlightens the public to have a deep understanding of the relationship between art and time through multi-dimensional artistic dialogue. The "Impression" plastic art exhibition, the "Museum in the Gallery" curator's concept collection, and the "Artist's Circle of Friends" interactive micro-exhibition were created by young creators from the Academy of Fine Arts of Shanghai Normal University, combined with the curator's notes, to explain the inspiration that time brings to the soul. The "Voice of the Heart" performing arts exhibition was created by young creators from the School of Music and the School of Film and Television Media of Shanghai Normal University, confronting the finite "life" and "beauty" in the context of time with the help of sound and image.
Heart Imagery II is the first micro-exhibition of comprehensive art concepts by a student curatorial team in Shanghai, and the first contemporary art exhibition among more than 90 exhibitions held by the District Calligraphy and Painting Association in the past. "The exhibition has changed from the perspective of the artist to the perspective of the curator, and for the first time, it adopts a non-narrative exhibition mode, using the narrative techniques of the five senses of color, touch, shape, sound and reason, to display the curatorial ideas and concepts, and restore the continuation process of the 'mental image'. Chen E, president of the Xuhui District Calligraphy and Painting Association, said, "We are very willing to build a display platform for students and provide an opportunity to connect with the society in advance." ”
