iQ-R Series (iQ Platform)
The iQ-R series is Mitsubishi's latest generation of large-scale PLC, which is an upgraded version of the Q series, equivalent to Siemens S7-1500, which has the advantage of being able to achieve complex control tasks, improve production efficiency and quality, and can be integrated with other equipment and systems to build a complete automation solution, suitable for large-scale complex control systems and high-demand application scenarios, such as power systems, petrochemical industry, etc. The iQ-R series can be programmed using Works 3 software, and the latest version is GX Works3 V1.101F. It is now integrated into the iQ Works programming platform, which is equivalent to Siemens' Portal platform.

iQ-L Series (iQ Platform)
The iQ-L series is a new generation of small and medium-sized PLCs launched by Mitsubishi Corporation, which is an upgraded version of the L series, which is equivalent to the Siemens S7-1200 or S7-300C. The iQ-L series requires Works 3 for programming, and the latest version is GX Works3 V1.101F. It is now integrated into the iQ Works programming platform, which is equivalent to Siemens' Portal platform.
iQ-F Series (iQ Platform)
The iQ-F series is a new generation of small PLC launched by Mitsubishi Corporation, which is an upgraded version of the F series, equivalent to the Siemens S7-200Smart and higher, realizing the high speed of the system bus, enriching the built-in functions, and supporting a variety of network programmable controllers. The iQ-F series needs to be programmed with Works 3, and the latest version is GX Works3 V1.101F. Note that different models of the F series have different version requirements for Works 3, for example, the FX-5UJ requires Works 3 V1.060N and above, and the FX-5S requires Works 3 V1.080J and above. It is now integrated into the iQ Works programming platform, which is equivalent to Siemens' Portal platform.
Q Series
Q series is the previous generation of large PLC launched by Mitsubishi Corporation, equivalent to Siemens S7-400, Q series PLC CPU can be divided into basic, high-performance, process control, motion control, computer, redundant and other products. The Q series is suitable for large-scale automation systems and complex control systems, such as industrial robots, automotive production lines, etc.
Q series PLC has the characteristics of high-speed computing, multi-axis control, network communication, etc., which can realize complex control tasks. The Q series needs to be programmed with Works 2, and the latest version is GX Works2 V1.620W. It is now integrated into the iQ Works programming platform, which is equivalent to Siemens' Portal platform.

L series
The L series is a previous generation of small and medium-sized PLCs launched by Mitsubishi Corporation, which is equivalent to the Siemens S7-300. It is cost-effective and reliable. It is suitable for small automation equipment and control systems, such as conveyor belt control, packaging machinery, etc. L series PLC has the characteristics of high-speed calculation, analog input and output, communication functions, etc., which can meet the needs of small and medium-sized control. The L-Series requires Works 2 programming and the latest version is GX Works2 V1.620W.
F Series
The F series is a compact programmable controller from Mitsubishi, equivalent to the Siemens S7-200 and higher, which integrates the power module, CPU module and I/O module into one compact unit, with rich functions and flexible system configurations, suitable for small automation equipment and simple control systems.
Among them, F series includes F, F1 and F2, FX series includes FX0, FX1 and FX2, FX3 series includes FX3U, FU3S and FX3G, FX1NC, FX2NC and FX3UC are variant series, FX1S series can only communicate through RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 standard interfaces, FX1N, FX2N and FX3U add AS-I and CC-Link network communication functions.
Many of the models introduced in the early days have been discontinued. The first F series was programmed with MEDOC under DOS, the next FX series was programmed with FXGPWIN, the later FX series was designed with GX Developer, and then the later ones were with Works 2, and the new FX5 series was already part of the iQ platform and began to use Works 3.
A-series
A series is Mitsubishi launched PLC with intelligent interface, with strong communication capabilities, its varieties are more, mainly A0J2, AnN, A3H, AnA and so on, of which A0J2 is an integral PLC, the rest is modular.
The A series is a continuation of the K-series, one of the earliest branches, and later upgraded to the current two branches: the L and Q series, which were discontinued after 2006. The A-Series can be programmed using the GX Developer programming software, and the latest version is GX Developer-V8.86.
Security series
Safety programmable controllers are divided into iQ-R, QS, and WS series. iQ-R series is suitable for large and medium-sized control systems, QS series PLC is suitable for small and medium-sized systems, and WS safety relay module series is suitable for small systems. iQ-R requires Works3 V1.015R and above, QS requires GX Developer V8.98C and above, WS requires SW1DNN-EIPXTFX5-ED software, and the highest version is now SW1DNN-EIPXTFX5-ED 00A.
