According to the latest data shared by market research firm Counterpoint, iPhone sales in the Chinese market fell by 19% in the first quarter, which is considered the worst decline since the pandemic in 2020.

CIRP believes that the general decline in smartphone sales is due to rising prices and a lack of innovation, which, combined with the current overperformance of smartphones, has prompted consumers to have a low demand for replacement phones and prefer to hold their devices for longer periods of time.
